£1 went down in the blink of an eye - by the time I could sign into my trading platform and push the sell button fallen to overnight levels. How do the day traders manage it?

Interesting and enlightening from 18 minutes - a rodeo ride, hold for 5-6 years, be psychologically prepared for lots and lots of volatility, need to be able to stomach more than 20% (50% !!) declines many times. GGP fits the bill. I'm in from end of 2017 so with continuing luck good timing for rewards from 2022/23 onwards from the 'Havieron gold mine'.

Sold out completely as I was never going to be a long term investor here. I hope this does well for those that remain GLA. EMC2

@irishmouse, I take your point that no payment to Riverfort until after AIM deadline and they must know something for taking such a risk.

TomE thanks all my investments are ISA wrapped. Sorry, I meant gifts regarding Inherence Tax and the 7 years rules. We are going to open a stocks and shares ISA for my young granddaughter and then I will sell shares and transfer the cash and buy GGP (limit is £9,000 this fy) for her.

Hi Lenz & TomE --- I understand that you too have large paper losses. I am cash poor not having taken out any profits from GGP. If we don't recover quickly I will always regret that I could have gifted 'that lost money' to my living decendents. Also at my age (71) I am wary of the 7 years CGT rules, something I never imagined would ever be part of my financial compass.

I can assure you that I am not scaremongering when I am down £87,000 and it has blown a big crater in my portfolio valuation. However, I welcome the views that the news is likely to have little or no impact on GGP.

Oh dear Perth has gone into lockdown - how will that affect flights to Telfer, reporting of Scallywag drill results and movement of MCM employees?

Could be even longer if Riverfort is still lending money because "· Each Drawdown shall be repayable 12 months from its issuance;" so timescale of Riverfort loan could be extending into 2022!

Been shocked by the size and speed of this pull back - my paper loss of £87,500 in GGP is stupifying!!! I was going to sell some shares by last Christmas but decided to hang on for the anticipated good Scallywag drill results. At 71 years of age I want to be able to gift money to my two adult children and young grandchild before spending money on repairs to my house or buying a car. Fingers crossed the GGP share price recovers soon. GLA

My average is high too but under £1 - irks me because I bought to trade the swings but got in too high and can't take advantage of the daily swings in the share price without knowing my luck losing even more money! Well I did ask for excitement.
