Chris - there are no guarantees of course, but a much better chance of making money buying at 0.5p rather than at 1.15p. They won’t need much of a rise to be in profit.

they are now in effective control of SCIRs destiny IMHO. I doubt SCIR can raise funds elsewhere until these remaining shares are taken up by Prolific.

Now that PMG operate the wind farm it would be nice to get some quarterly operating updates on sales, planned activities etc.. also some headline numbers on the non operated gas assets.

I didn’t mind poor comms when there was nothing to say…essentially a holding pattern until a partner made a decision.

But yeah, people invest to follow a story, and get a warm feeling when value is created.

Highland - that’s the reason they only took £200k worth at 0.72p if you think about it…

Sell that down to depress the SP and pick the other £800k up at say 0.5p. So maybe they make a loss of £60k on the first tranche. But they end up with 50 million additional shares which are worth £250k at 0.5p. So total benefit is £190k assuming they can then sell at a higher price.

We know they have been selling because they have never declared over 3%.

It will be interesting to see their next move. I did warn everyone this would happen when they “invested” with the SP at 1.15p. They have played a blinder really.

Frank - seems pretty obvious that our “investor” Prolific is anything but. They are usual AIM death spiral finance mob IMHO. Usually these loans clobber you with the free/cheap share options and other hidden costs. These prolific guys along with Gneiss have done a sneaky number on PIs IMHO. Allow draw down in chunks and conversions at a price of their choosing. Who needs to short when you can hammer the market with the last batch of shares you took before picking up the next tranche at a much lower price!

I’ve opened a new spreadbet this morning. If war is avoided I think it sets us up nicely. U.K. oil and gas definitely strengthened by this little episode.

Hopefully clears the way for BBK development.

Hi Frank - at the moment they could probably still get it away at 0.5p with a standard AIM discount IMHO.

Just makes me think that perhaps nobody is willing to take it up even at that price. They would end up owning a significant chunk of the company, and it is so illiquid they would be locked in. Surely Tom must not be as relaxed as he seems about the funding strategy?

I’m swinging closer to thinking they will be forced to relinquish the asset.

They would have been better to hit us for a full placing at 0.8p back in October when the SP was a penny instead of this disaterous drawdown of the prolific finance.

Tom took a gamble, thinks he can drip drip this on? Problem is there is just no interest in the share. PI’s finally learned to steer clear?

But would a PI really trade £1 worth, plus the £10 trading cost ??

Seems likely given they are the only ones who could profit by selling at these prices. Could take a while to clear IMHO.

I agree that it is a rather silly thing to say….so not sure why you say it so much?!!

E - HBR and ENQ are the only 2 UK heavy names on that list.

I suspect that has more to do with the SP performance.

The missed guidance is obviously not good, but I think everyone is entitled to a bad year. I don’t think it is a trust breaker. It also doesn’t really change the story…the SP is battered by ESG divestment and years of low price environment. Sentiment is really what is holding us back. Once /if investors believe there is a long term oil demand, reasonable price stability, and stable tax regime we should start to do better.

I also think the guidance miss probably means that there is a good chance of hitting top end this year.

Interesting take Romaron…my assumption was that it would make zero difference to the share price. But to be honest I have not seen something like this before from a CEO as big as AB (particularly intriguing with AB usually being so conservative).

Nothing really material in the email, but the matter of fact positivity and strong hints that shareholder returns might be the priority for him..

Perhaps all info in the recent TU, but feels like more than just words when he has taken the time to write to a shareholder.

Means a tick down due surely?

Same with buyers only willing to come in much below full ask
