The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Regarding 'AAA crew', I suppose it depends if that last bid is dead in the water or, if they can get their house in order, if a new improved bid is forthcoming and if so what it is. Personally I think theres been a lot of water under the bridge since that rather speculative bid, however a new bid may be more attractive? Who know.
Normally after a quarterly update we get a video presentation from Brad & Stuart which contains an question and answer session. I think that will prove interesting to say the least and hopefully the picture may become clearer. It would also be interesting to see FInn Capps take on things and maybe a revised target price.
I’ve been here since the 8p pre consolidation days. I don’t think there’s any doubt that Boom will get taken over eventually but you have to acknowledge that there is much global uncertainty at the moment which may cause potential suitors to delay or (has been proved by AAA in the past) to buy on the cheap. Not having a go just trying to encourage healthy debate. Ps. Nothing wrong in taking a profit.
I think £35 is optimistic in the short term given the share price today is £14.25. However finncap last target was £22.50 which wasn’t raised on very good figures last time and Mr Candy’s friends stated that they wouldn’t sell for less than £25. Older news I know. It still relevant. What’s going on? I guess only a couple of people really know so I decided today to take a profit and sold half my modest holding, ready to jump back in at a later date if they drop further.
I have checked. RNS released on 28 March referred to purchases on 25 March. RNS 24 March was for purchases on 23 March. RNS 23 March was for purchases on 22 March The point I was making was that this was released within 1 3/4 hours (at the most) rather than a day or two. I haven't gone back over all the RNS's. I am a very bullish bear however and have been in Boom for quite a few years now.
