I suspect the partners will now be chomping at the bit to monetise the gas from Wressle too. (short pipeline to the grid) Instead of flaring it. More bang and bucks.

Now that the company is clearly profit making and potentially about to issue dividends. Watch a few TR1's that might appear on the horizon. Institutional Investors, (Pensions/Insurance etc) will have their ears pricked up.

Just getting over 30p is the first step of this journey. And ALL journeys start with the first step. GL ALL

I also tip my hat to DB and the Team for the absolute s***e they've had to endure from not only Swampies, but the "Doom and Gloom Brigades" of jealous other oily investors. ;)

I was a long time Solo holder but started to see the same modus operandi I have seen with other companies. When Ritson jumped after issueing cheap shares I thought it was indeed a final "get out with a wallet full"

It's shame really, I have made money on Solo. I bailed from Helium One recently as the chequered past revealed a Ponzi scheme. Numerous name changes from Northcote Energy to Mayan Energy and now Helium One. With 3 boards delivering NOTHING for countless millions invested. And Northcote in Texas? Where do you still a drill in the ground in Texas and not find oil. The latter stinking of Ponzi the same as Noricum Gold, later to become Georgia Mining with gold 10ft from the surface? Did they get it out? I'd have grabbed a bloody spade. God knows what the Company is called now, the same?

Cheers for the update, I'll wait for a bit, if nothing is encouraging, I'll take the hit.

Heid, I'm currently working Saltend Chemical Plant in Hull, 8 miles from West Newton. I was talking to the INEOS plant Manager the other day. I mentioned the gas at West Newton. He was surprised but then said, I can guarantee that Jim Ratcliffe is watching carefully. Which is nice :)

Testing continuing, this has to be probably multiple zones. Quotes of...not seen core samples like it have been mentioned. Combine this with the "on-the-record" quote from DB himself that its "special".

So just what have they found? Doesn't sound like a plain old oil or gas well to me. Something like that wouldn't get an accolade of special? It would be a simple, we've found oil or gas, which was of courses targetted/expected. Remember WNB wasn't targetting oil, the damn stuff just happened to get in the way of going after the gas. Sad really eh?!?!?! The Gas is there, which was the play.

So what do we have? That's the question, something we do know is it's BIG and on large acreage, with other prospects that may be connected.
Personally, DB will be tight lipped, he has a company to protect and family investors too, including us out here in clueless-ville. Let's see how the coin flips, Heads it's oil, tails it's gas, coin on its edge condensate? or all 3? now there's a trick.
