Down another 6% today. How low can it go before something has to happen ?

What gives you confidence that it will rise 50% to £3 .

I shouldve posted on here on monday that i was selling my shares in my SIIP in Burford, with a plan to monitor them and buy back in when steadily rising. To be fair i sold them as my job may be outsourced and i became nervous about money. Im chuffed for you guys who held, and i know its all about the long term hold. I will never learn that im awful about timing of these things. Pass me the cider bottle??

Guess im like many small time investors that struggle with trying to view long term , and sell when keep seeing a share fall. These shares have been a nightmare lately. Having sold a few weeks ago, i waited to see several days of positive rises before buying back in...seems like i triggered the share fall on Monday.

I know their a long term hold. Its just people lime me who are smaller investors get nervous when their paper profits turn into £200 loss currently

Remember now why im useless at shares ! Watched price fall for a week trying to be brave. Sold up as it hurtled towards 1550. Next day up 8%. Next day down so waited . Next day up 10% so bought back in. Done nothing but go down since.
Is it a general issue with Aim shares. Whats tbe concensus. Or is this the big sell off of Burford following massive rises ?

Agree with your sentiments . Its geeat to come on hete and get some constructed views. Unlike some forums where its just people ramping the shares. Good question about ftse 250 tho.

Another great day. This share really does keep giving. I only hold this one share in my SIIP and one in my cash shares . I dont have the great sums you guys have but its all a relative gamble. Just cant justify taking any more profits in this share now, until i have too. Have taken 3 lots of £200 in the last 6 months , but just letting my 450 pounds profit ride for now.

Promised myself to keep taking profits every time im £200 up. Just feels like were on a good run , so holding this time for a bit longer. Hoping it will fund my holiday spending money in June ! I also have £2,500 of my £5,000 siip in this. Not good judgement to have all share eggs in one basket, but this seems almost too good to miss. Or maybe theres another Burford that i dont know about...

Must admit i also took dome profit on the morning when it was 24 % up and statting to drift lower. I have some cash shatrs as well as my SIIP. My cadh shares have now paid for this years holiday. Bit gutted it went up another 7% but great for the shares i hold. Thought i had more shares in my SIIP, and now tempted to buy more as happy to hold long term in there

Amazing results. Must admit i woke up at 9 , and almost dreaded checking the price. Like in a cartoon i had to look twice to make sure id read the price increase right . For once ive held my nerve on a share dropping its price. But that was with the tips made on here. So many thanks to you all. Now the next trucky step is when to take a bit of profit again. ( lovely decision tho)

I have no insider info and less experience than you guys, but im nervous as the price hasnt been rising too much beforehand. Surely some news leaks out. Price started up this morning then fell . Hope im wrong....

Thanks for posts guys. As a relatively small investor im trying hard not to sell but have seen a 200 pound profit turn into 200 loss in a few weeks. Said i was gonna sell before but held. Are there any other similar shares to compare it too. I guess the phenominal rises couldn't carry on. As u say the company fundamentals are still very good.

The share just keeps dipping with hardly any upturn. Im not prepared to sit back and watch it go any lower so taking my profit and will keep closely monitoring this till it starts to go back up concistently, which i hope it will soon. I know all the experts say hold any share long term but thats okay when you have tens of thousnds to spead your shares

Thanks John. We definitely need some good news to help give us a lift. The price has been amazing over last 12 months so hopefully its just a small breather before storming forward again.

Well since the all shares drop 2 weeks ago , Burford has not gathered back much of its losses. Its a real shame as the share price was nicely going up the couple of weeks before. Is there any expected results on the horizon that may kick start us again ?

Cant believe this time last week i was contemplating taking my 300 pounds profit. As usual greed kicks in and i hesitated. All but 10 pounds now wiped off in a week. Just need one of the markets to rise and hopefully the rest will follow suit quickly

Good lesson but ive still not stuck to it. Looks like we maybe be in for another hit today as Wall St dropped yestererday again. Seems to be a lot of automated trades rather than real sells , so hopefully a quick turn around. Ive just realisd if i dont take a profit , believing it could still go higher, i wonder if i can put an automated trade in place if the price drops. I use Hargreaves Lansdowne for my shares and siip.

Full marks for taking some profit. I hesitated , again, and now my 300 profit is back down to £160 after 2 bad market days.
