BilboBaggin,
Very valid point but I would add, it is not seepage of hundreds of years but thousands if not hundreds of thousands of years worth of seepage.
But, then, I guess, the Oxford academics would all be red in the face and someone would have to return her Dr. title as she would be proven wrong, at least as Rukwa's concerned; not to mentioned Solo's geologists (now Scir) and our CEO and his team, and last but not least, the many clever pis of HE1!
But going back to your question, I guess we have the following options I can come up with, and I am sure others can add more to it or dismiss them all together:
Option 1: We are all screwed then
Option 2: The traps have succeeded in keeping Helium in place, but we have so much of it that there isn't aren't traps big enough to keep all the gas in place and it goes over the borders of the traps where faults or less effective seals let the gas seep through, etc..
I am not a geologist by trade, but there isn't much to it really; the secret here is an effective trap in place and we will only find out once we drill.
If you have never invested in gas or oil explorers and think this is too much for you to take, take your money and run I would say. Exploration companies is not for widows and orphans for sure. The risks are higher but the returns are HUGE and unless you educate yourself on all the aspects I mention above and see who is doing the work here, which should add some comfort to you; as I mentioned a day ago, I have never invested in an exploration company which had so much ground work done by Oxford academics, geologists and professional in the field that I personally feel comfortable here, but that is me.
DYOR and IMHO.
Good luck
