Why not do what all quite old but surviving companies do? "Train them up, it they're rubbish, sack them, give them a salary and stagger the percentage starting from 3% up to 20% for fulfilled orders, if they go above the mentioned salary"?

Blue, they have too keep knowledgable core staff. They can't just sack the lot, just because they can't work. 3 Trainers and 21 field staff is the minimum.

When we first settled as civilians, we faced overdraft charges, who had no idea how the heck they could have occurred of over £1200 in the first month. But Lloyds TSB was sooo sorry to lose us as customers, that they offered us a VIP meeting with one of their advisors, stating it would include free biscuits and beverages ;-)

In comparison Amigo is no more expensive than overdraft with a bank. The difference is/was, that you couldn't chose when the overdraft happened and not only got hammered with extensive fees, but the banks also charged excessive amounts for the letters they sent out to their customers, informing that by the time they receive this letter the clock had already begun to tick on a daily basis. British banks must have had a field day, when they could chose the day the directs were taken out, but the payments from the employers came weekly, 2-weekly and if they were lucky monthly, which meant 4-weekly. If anyone wonders why such few people invest into shares of banks these days, THAT could be the reason. Was there any intervention of the FCA, FOS or of Sarah Camel??? Nope! :-)

We didn't need a mortgage from Lloyds, because we'd invested well and could buy a house without a mortgage, but then we had to explain how we had so much money. Figure that!

Jimmyg56, no, it's not bizarre at all. Finance is Finance ;-) Banks do have separate Lending Departments, haven't they? I remember British banks calling us on our personal Land Line in Germany, because our British House Bank, gave them our number and they offered us personal loans up to £85000 on the basis of our combined income of £12000 per month, in fact, they said, that there'd be no way we'd get a mortgage, if we never had a loan. Picture that and then ask Camel Lady what she has to say. I still have some of the letters from Lloyds from that time offering these loans. I'm not making it up.

Hmmm. Theosus... I am German, but I wouldn't want to have to go back to Germany. I'ts very leftist, with new laws they call 'Hate Speech Laws', but it's only about saying your opinion without insulting anyone. I couldn't live over there anymore.

Theosus I can't afford 'The Big Players' anymore. I first started on the share market in the early 1990s, well.. that was easy ;-) I invested into a few new shares, into a few shares funds and that was it. It would've been tough to lose money back then. Once we got house, children are now adults, I could afford early retirement, I got bored. So I started a bet last year with my, now adult, children and said that I could make money out of investing £1000 and so far it works. The 1000 are now 1700 and I started in autumn last year. But I don't take anything out, I re-invest it. Right now, I'm in between playing 'ping pong' but Zinnwald is my first stock were I said: "YES! And this investment will stay!" I still hold a few of Bushveldt, but to be honest, the laid-back attitude of Fortune Mojela was starting to put me off and these shares don't move, only by a fraction. But with Zinnwald, I had a really good feeling and it doesn't really matter on which side of the border what is, Germany and Chechia are both in the EU and it'll be the EU who'll have the last word anyway ;)

Theosus, I'm 56 years old and I now wish I'd listened during physics and chemistry lessons. It really is so exiting. The world is on a turning point where energy is concerned and you're right, there'll be winners and losers. Have a look at Tirupati, they only launched on the London Stock Exchange a few months ago. It's graphite in Madagascar, but they also have something in India, I believe.
I find this all so exiting, because suddenly rare earths are being needed that nobody would have ever thought investing into. It is very exiting times, but I feel that many of the high tech companies on the big indices are overvalued already. That's why I thought I go to the basis, the extraction of the ingredients they need and invest into good companies of the mining industries and I try to invest into all of them. The ones who fail won't hurt me so much, then. "the wider you seed, the better is the change of bringing in at least one great harvest" is my motto.

The only difference between these customer claims and PPI claims is that, in case of the Amigo claims it's Amigo that has to fork out. In case of the banks, the tax payers did ;)

They allowed banks to carry on lending, didn't they?
