am I glad I didn't put a stop loss on and thanks for all the replies. Had to rust myself lose from here for most of the day and do some chores. A few of you in here have actually confirmed my suspicion, that MMs go on the hunt for stop losses - the data. That what my biggest concern. So what I did instead, was to put on a sell limit for 45p for one week, in the hope that the algorithms read this as a wow-factor of what little me as an investor expects it to make in that time. I'm not sure how AI works, but apparently in its current development it's still learning like a small child. Should Amigo get too close to that, I will put the limit up a notch and the limit is not for my entire holding, only for one fifth.

Call me optimistic (or a dreamer :-) ) but I've set a sell limit for 42 in 7 calendar days :-)

I can set a time limit to it. It's just that I want double of my investment secured, prior to court 'sanction' :-) and before it proceeds any further. In the meantime leave it running in my monthly share saving plan and buy into dips, when and if I can. Does that make any sense? I would free up some cash to invest some elsewhere, keep half to 'play' on the chances Amigo will give, but will still buy (at the price now) buy around 1200 per month anyway.

A speeding ticket? Up or down? :-) If I was to set a quarter of my shares to be sold on 35p they couldn't sell them for less and it wouldn't mean they are automatically on offer prior to hitting this target, would it? I have never dealt with stop losses, sell limits. I'm a freshling to all of that.

LTH, in your opinion, how far do think we could be away from 35p?

Swanny, if I understand you correctly, you mean going the other way? Putting a limit on a number of shares to be automatically sold at x-amount?

thaw, of course ;-) I wouldn't put the entire lot on a stop hold. A quarter, maximum. But for now I leave it, I think. I have got nowhere to go this week :-)

ok and thanks for your replies. Then I'll make notes, so I react quickly if I have to. Dividing my hold into 4 equal parts for now and have the figures pinned ready to look at pinned in my sight. Will save me time doing the maths, in case :-)

Anyone considering putting a stop loss on? I was thinking of putting one for 11 for half of my hold. That way I'd be protected in case I'm not in when something dramatic happens and still come out with some profit and that'll give me time to analyse the situ and consider my options. I never had a stop loss on my stocks. So inside about pros and cons would be appreciated, thanks.
