HH, I see no reason why this shouldn't go up to at least 30p again, as it did prior to the last court hearing and if Team Amigo is more prepared than they were the first time (which I sincerely hope they will be) then I also see no reason why the SOA shouldn't pass. Remember when I mentioned many weeks ago, that Provi contacted me in regards of a claim, because I had taken a bridge loan for a couple of hundred as the sum we required was too small for them? I have received another email from them today and here is the part of the content that is important for us Amigos and prove that the SOA for Provi has been approved by the court:
"We are pleased to let you know that:
• both Scheme Creditors and the Court approved Provident SPV Limited's Scheme of Arrangement ("Scheme");
• the Scheme became effective on 5? August? 2021; and
• Provident Financial plc has made £50 million available to the Scheme to pay compensation to affected customers and certain fees owed to the Financial Ombudsman Service."
I'm getting myself mentally ready for the event that the SOA passes. When that happens I expect a carnage. A lot of people will try to make a quick buck and I believe the rises and sudden drops will be a much bigger roller coaster than the few rides we have experienced in the last year or so :-)
assa, ok, I see. I thought you meant it was never on there. All ok.
assa, what do you mean 'on future'. It's been on that list in the past. I don't know it not to be on there, until a few weeks ago.
Thank you, psw46 for confirming what I said the other day. I have also contacted them about that last week and was told they'd investigate, but they didn't mention the bit with 'not applicable...'. So thanks for posting that in here.
My portfolio is now totally blue, including my two funds (one mixed general and one automation & robotics, which both give me a good indication of what is going in the world). Happy Day and with that I have a coffee and then back into the garden, preparing a flowerbed for Gothic beauties for next spring :-)
And never was it 'strong' Magpies ;-)
Beware of the telling of this Oracle :-) It was always ever wrong ;-)
And, btw, Strong, I don't need to buy back in. I've been in much longer can count backwards.
stevielad, I haven't seen it on the Risers/Fallers on HL for a few weeks now and I think there must a reason for that.
Strong, who replies to who in here, is none of your concern WHATSOEVER... so please do keep out if you feel your cage hasn't been rattled, ok? ;-) Your obnoxious, nasty and patronising attitude is what really keeps a lot of the good people away, that once used to post on this board. To download your carp on me, is futile, you'll be biting into granite, old lady ;-)
HH, I've seen Amigo before on the All Share List and on the AIM, aswell as on the Small Cap List. It's not been on any for ages and I was wondering why that may be.
On HL, Amigo no longer shows in risers and fallers. Have observed this over a couple of weeks. Is that a HL issue or could there be another reason for this?
Franky, Provi wanted to abandon doorstop lending anyway. Became too expensive with collections from agents and seems that was the only way they got the repayments, hence the very high interest payments. That's all Provi stopped, only the doorstop lending.
Well, let's look on the bright side. According to LSE, Financial Services are today number three of a list of five among the top rising industries. Right in between Software & Computing and Gas & Water and with a growth rate of 0.78% ;-)
Oh :D Strongwoman :D Read yourself:
"I seem to remember when this share would have a little pull back when you were invested you panicking post after post scared of losing your life savings of £3000."
What name were you using then? ;-)
Old??? Matter of perspective from others, which I don't really care about. Sad? Definitely not :-) Where I waste my time, you can leave up to me. Right now, I'm having a great time observing you showing your true face to all in here :-) Keep going ;-)
No, prolee, Vinson is sophisticated and writes eloquently, unlike that weak wench with a self-assuring name ;-)
Oh Strong :D and a little dig about 'benefits'? :-) Comes in my experience to 100% from those you are on benefits, as only they know what that does feel like and they are close enough to this dependency to remember this ad hoc and shake it our of their sleeves. With that you not only have revealed your potentially nasty character, but also the source of the money you claim to have invested and that happens to come from all who are paying their taxes, including me ;-) So invest it wisely, for I hate losing ;-)
Strongwoman :D so defensive? Well, I must have hit the nail on the head :o) Hurts, doesn't it? :o) And now you had the mirror held in front of you, you decide to dive back into your pond? Makes me wonder why you chose the nick-name "STRONGwoman" for you are clearly NOT strong at all ;-)
Good bye :-)
Strong, it seems that you are beginning to fall for the misconception that who is welcome on this board and who is balanced
is your decision to make and you seem to take the right to speak for everybody on this board, by stating whose thoughts are appreciated.
Trust me, when I say, that none of this is up to you. Your, so far, 13 posts have been about others, there is one hope that "all will be good", on another board (PFG) a question about when a court case comes up and mentioning Amigo on PFG and on another board (HBR) you boasted having invested £100000 and being certain to walk away with 1 Million in five years (a ridiculous claim to make considering the time-frame, as a lot of things can go right, but also very wrong in five years and what makes you hope that it'll work? Looked at where it stood years ago on the chart? ;-) ). Let's not talk about the one in which you accused me of ramping Provi and wanted to know if I invested in Amigo or if I am "one of them", meaning, if I wasn't invested. Now let me be a little 'judgemental' with you, as you can so do so well with others:
If £1000 investment is a small amount for you and elsewhere you claim to be invested with £100000, then one has to wonder what you are doing on any of these boards, as you seem to have more money than sense. But I think we both know the answer, don't we? Namely, that you are a very small light in the world of shares and your 13 posts don't really reflect any of your claims. You are looking a lot for re-assurance and that is something nobody here and on any of the other boards is able to provide for you. In all my brutal honesty, I have the feeling that you don't have clue, that you are just bored and that this is the reason why you are here.
Now a tip and some advice: If the posts of this prolee-character are getting on your nerves, then you have two options. The first is to filter him and the second is to simply skipped over this drivel. Which ever one you decide to chose, do not ever try to make yourself the big Head-Honcho on this board. There are people on here who, unlike yourself, know exactly what they are doing and they are successful on different levels of investment and with different strategies and that includes myself. I have started investigating again, to win a bet. I am proving to my children and husband, that I it is possible to make a profit on the share market, starting with very little seed-money and building up from that. In any case, I'd have NEVER have £100K in one investment alone, unless I was a millionaire and then I wouldn't hang around on investment chats :-)
