It might be today it might be next week or next month, but one of these days we are going to get a good update from the company and we will not look back. The same usual morning spike followed by a pullback with everyone expecting it to sell off and when it doesn't there will be a lot of traders that get caught out and know the value of what we have here and will be racing to buy back in.

Inconclussive COPD results are a very real possibility and it is a great point that Woodstock makes: the market makers would have a field day in that scenario. But I think the longer it takes for Synairgen to get back to the market with an update, the less likely this scenario is and the more likely that we get an update along the lines of a major tie-up or licensing deal.

ORYX finnished selling in April. On 16th April they reported a change of holdings from 3.32% to 2.33% taking them below the 3% reporting threshold and we haven't heard from them since see link to RNS below.

You can't compare SNG and ODX, completely different value propositions; if everything goes to plan SNG will be worth well in excess of £1bn. The potential SNG has is vast, but the risk is also considerably more than here in ODX.

The risk to reward proposition here in ODX is much more favourable and as a result I have over 4 times the holding here than in SNG. We have so much flexibility to follow demand between the RTC antibody and the different ELISA/LFT antigen/antibody test. And we have a solid non-covid core business that justifies a large amount of our MCAP, due to diagnostics companies being valued so poorly by the market were prior to covid-19.

Absolutely agree Safy, the progress Mologic have made in bringing ahead the timescales of the antigen LFT is excellent news for us even if Heathrow doesn't go with Mologic. An antigen LFT at a good price point would sell faster than any company could manufacture it. The lack of expensive machines to run the test, the flexibility to take the test at home, at work or at an airport is a massive deal. Imagine how quickly an antigen or antibody LFT would sellout in Boots if sold to the general public.

Venrock brought 10% of Apple in 1979 for $300m, a company currently worth over $2t. Venrock sees value and potential in Synairgen at £2 a share, which shows us that our journey has just began and how far this might go. It is also reassuring to know that we have an investor with friends in high places and a lot of clout in the city.

I am starting to really appreciate Collins attitude to diversifying into so many different tests covering the whole spectrum: ELISA, LFT, antigen, antibody, finger prick and saliva. It allows the manufacturing to be fluid and be utilised where demand is greatest and for me is one of the biggest selling points of the company going forward from an investors perspective.

First morning in a while without a tree shake which is a tell-tale sign that there is good demand for shares. I wanted to top up this morning for 56 or 57p a share, but settled for 58p.
