Before we all pile in with requests to the OEM for a copy, could you just confirm that the Maersk trial was specifically stopped due to the wear and tear In the test, rather than the buoy incident and subsequent opportunity for Maersk to reconsider their direction of travel?:

Could it be argued that you are inferring from the info contained in the report that QFI/QED may not have been entirely transparent regarding the news of the trial cessation? Genuinely interested.

We were told the trial was paused due to the ship hitting a buoy. And thereafter Maersk decided to call time on the trial and pursue other fuel options. Are you saying the trial would have been stopped anyway due to the liner deposits & fuel system wear anyway? And if this was indeed the situation, how do we get the interim lono on such a basis?

Maybe he means it'll be virtual curtains for us Investors? More funding = more dilution = better commercial results required to mitigate. And whilst the four projects are ongoing and therefore still very much in play we really do need at least one of them to come in soon to stop any further slide. The time is now!

Keeping progress ongoing actually suits management as it means the product is neither a success nor a failure. The current non-binary status allows for ongoing funding, albeit a successful outcome is by far the best outcome for all, and I'm sure QED are as keen to get good news out asap. However, the only people who suffer from this hiatus are the investors who are losing time by ageing and being diluted financially through time.

I caveat all this by accepting this is a risky investment, but I've put money in on finding the outcome of my calculated share purchase, so the least management can do is deliver on that. Currently it feels like we've placed our chips on the roulette table and are waiting forever for the wheel to be spun!

I think the AGM is too late. Everything has been moved on quarter-by-quarter for years, with Q3 this year being the latest "expected" line in the sand.

QED must be encouraged to explicitly state the clear status of Marine sooner rather than later or we could be facing another 'Aramco' bolt out of the blue announcement in a few months/year. That was also all going swimmingly, until it wasn't...

I desperately want this company to be successful, but these shifting timescales need to be called out now. We need to know absolutely that things are indeed moving very, very near to sign-off. So the next Comms have to be extremely clear and defined, or if they don't know I would appreciate such an update using language that clarifies and quantifies that status. The days of opaque updates are over.

I'm sorry, but I disagree. When 'the Business' decides something has to be completed by a particular date, the lawyers and management will drop everything to reach the point of signing for that time. Even if it means paying for additional legal resource to get everything over the line.

The fact that this has dragged on for so long is a clear indication that 'the business' (in this case MSC and/or Cargill) are at best ambivalent about the speed of the negotiations or at worst simply drawing this out for some other reason (perhaps due to the BioMSAR option alluded to by someone else a while back). But, it is extremely unlikely to be due to lack of legal support to get the required contracts in place for signing.

The 'near final form' update was released on 10 June RNS. So nearly 3 months ago.

And to be clear, lawyers do not hold up contracts- Commercial and Operational do. QED have to be crystal clear by the end of September who or what is dragging this out. Otherwise, sentiment will haemorrhage.
