You are dead right there Bg: it took two years to get my rightful inheritance from those "administrators" after my father died: he had failed to inform them of his change of address to a care home; oh, and of the fact that he had died. When my Mother goes I will take fotos and vidoes of her in her coffin but I doubt even those will extract her money from CREST et al.

So Bg me old mate: buys and sells do not refer to transactions: they are just buys and sells which are errr deals, agreements to exchange, monetary contracts.................?

Many thanks Bk : was also musing that if I buy in (or sell) big then I do it in smaller quantities so as not to have the riff-raff getting excited who might interpret my intentions and perhaps benefit from my knowledge. So I will feel free to ignore such "evidence" equally. In fact, beginning to wonder what information provided by lse and the like is of any value whatsoever to us poor B****rs at the end of the line : in this case "the donkeys" it would appear to a virgin investor.

Hmm, always have felt most statistics were b*l***s since forced on me as a "Subsidiary" paper. I take your explanation -for which many thanks - as confirmation.

PS BB57 : Meant to add that in two of my portfolio today as often the value of sells far exceeded buys (allegedly) but the SP rose - in one case quite significantly to my advantage. At least with the nags if one falls at the first you know you have lost your money! With the Bar Stewards it appears that if you sell the SP will soar and you lose twice..........

Good question BB57. I have asked the same on two other Boards where it happens regularly also. Never get a satisfactory answer and note that lp4 reply is not very helpful. Suggest the answer is that there are Bar Stewards deep in the smoke who fiddle things to their advantage and are now working on their Christmas bonuses. After receipt they pop down my way and buy up any nice properties going. Never featured in my O Level Economics course or my B.A. Econ for that matter which spent a lot of time lauding the praises of Supply and Demand. Ta for the question - I await with you for a plausible answer.

Still here for the weekend. And, have persuaded her indoors to give up her weeks housekeeping to HL on behalf of SNG. If things go as well as you all keep saying it will then I will have to bring her along to the party! GLA!

Forgive me for asking again : £3m sells and £6m buys allegedly - SP down c6%. Always doubted the O Level Economics "Laws" of Supply and Demand and given the evidence above: Answer Sp down 6% would certainly be an f Grade. Would be delighted if someone could explain what "Law" or process if any is at work in this market -if so it be.

Many thanks sm.....naively I jump in too early on the bounce but lowered my average thanks to your erudite good sense (and that of a few others) which convinced me that this will turn out well for us and the cinema. Somewhat new to BBs I have been amazed at the amount of b***c*s that is allowed to be posted as well as the level of literacy attained by "investors" so called who it seems to my elderly experience would be more welcome on a dog-track. Trust that will not be mis-understood!

Stayed in for the weekend but puzzled: as posted earlier £1m sold but £2m bought yet SP plummets. I fear I didn't really understand the reason offered: someone amongst you erudite chaps please have another go: her indoors still needs convincing that I know what I am doing by holding: she thinks 37p to 190p was a fair return and would lead to a happy Christmas. Just asking, please don't vilify me cos I am simple.

Hmmm: boasted to her still indoors that having read erudite posts it would be a 158 finish to the week. I have to go in now too and she will ask. Any advice? Should I lie and pull the plug on her iPad 'cos she is cunning and might google the price or try to be honest and say that I got the date wrong and that it is next weekend that is the imminent one? Not sure how long now that I can keep this going: she is looking forward to her new Ann Summers Christmas Outfit and then a new Easter Bonnet. Had to wear 2019 Bikini all through the summer!

Just been asked again by her indoors if I am staying in for yet another imminent weekend or does she have to wait another week for her new hat. Kiwi I wish you well. I am fairly new to BBs but am still in SNG despite the downs thanks to those who have spoken with erudition and and calm good sense. Having to mark essays for 40 years or so in education (I was out before ejucashun became the norm) it has been fascinating to discover that the ability to detect b**l ***t amongst written contributions has become a valuable (sic) attribute. Again, I wish you well, and thanks as ever to those reporting the shenanigans of the dealers, the traders, the gainsayers. and it seems, often, the downright dishonest.
