The buyer pays cash — the premium — to a seller, who writes the short call option. The seller is obligated to deliver the shares of stock if the buyer exercises the call — something that would only occur if the stock price was higher than the strike price.

Some people have no patience. Ignore the short-term price fluctuations.

If you have done your research, you will be sitting back ignoring all this noise. Then again, there is nothing to stop you selling and jumping overboard. I am getting a little sick of reading about nervous investors (or likely traders) - nothing has changed since the last RNS.
