The following are less common side effects (occurring in >10%) for patients receiving dexamethasone:

Headaches
Dizziness
Mood swings
Cataracts and bone thinning (with long-term use)
When to contact your doctor or health care provider:

Contact your health care provider immediately, day or night, if you should experience any of the following symptoms:

Fever of 100.4° F (38° C), chills (possible signs of infection)
If you feel an irregular or fast heartbeat, shortness of breath, or chest or jaw pain, seek emergency help and notify your healthcare provider
If you become suddenly confused

The following symptoms require medical attention, but are not emergency situations. Contact your health care provider within 24 hours of noticing any of the following:

Covid-19 hasn't gone away and the search for viable treatments will remain a priority, and SFX-01's selection for patient trials are based on its its anti-inflammatory properties as a NRF2 activator which has shown to reduce the severity of ARDS.....and so its commercial therapeutic potential in these trials isn't just focussed on Covid-19 but offers enormous potential for multiple viral conditions and other diseases asscoiated with acute respiratory distress syndrome ("ARDS"). Taking time out

Hi all - I have been inundated with calls and messages since yesterday's announcement, so I thought I would make a short post on my personal Linked-In account.

Deciding to leave Evgen was a tough call, but one that I made in the best interests of the shareholders.

The share price has been suppressed for a while and does not reflect the true and substantial value in the business.

What is needed now is fresh vision and new energy to take it to the next stage.

The Company remains a great business and I will continue to support them as a long-term shareholder.

I intend to take a short break now to recharge and will resurface in due course. Thank you to all those that have sent kind messages at this time of change.

I also cannot stress how great the Evgen Board and management team have been in the way that this transition has been dealt with - much respect, Steve

PharmAgra is a custom chemical research and development company located in Brevard, North Carolina with current services that include custom synthesis, process development and optimization and analytical services.

The PharmAgra acquisition expands the global footprint of Raybow and gives it close proximity to the company’s growing US customer base. The Brevard facility will become the headquarters and R&D center for North American operations. It will be supported by sales and marketing offices in Los Angeles, CA, Princeton, NJ and Copenhagen, Denmark.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY UPDATE

Our IP portfolio continues to be strengthened with a number of key patents being granted. The current status of the intellectual property portfolio is as follows:

-- From the "parent" patent family entitled "Stabilised Sulforaphane" patents are granted in Australia, Canada, EU, US, Japan and Hong Kong.

-- The principal manufacturing patent application, entitled "Methods of Synthesising Sulforaphane" is granted in Australia, China, Europe, Japan and further applications are pending in Brazil, Canada, US and India.

-- A second manufacturing patent which is directed to methods of isolating and purifying sulforaphane or analogues from natural sources has been granted in Europe, US, Japan and China.

-- The patent application providing protection around novel analogues based on sulforaphane, and entitled "Sulforaphane-Derived Compounds" is granted in Australia, China, Europe, Japan and the US and pending in Canada.

During the year composition of matter SFX-01 patents were granted both in Japan and Europe with a product claim for a complex of sulforaphane and alpha-cyclodextrin. The Group has long held broad compositional patent protection in the United States since patent grant in 2011 and in Canada since grant in 2014.

Furthermore, new composition of matter filings have been made which, if successful, would add a further 20 years of patent life to the key patent family.

About the Project

Resistance to endocrine and other therapies during metastatic progression is the major cause of mortality in breast cancer. We have previously reported that endocrine resistance can be driven by ALDH+ breast cancer stem cells (CSCs) and more recently that STAT3 is activated in these cells (Simoes et al., 2015 and 2020). We and others have reported that breast cancers resistant to the recently FDA-approved CDK4/6 inhibitors such as Palbociclib have increased numbers of CSCs and activation of STAT3 signalling, and that inflammatory and obesity-related breast cancer are driven by IL6 and leptin activating STAT3 transcriptional activity.

Our hypothesis is that targeting STAT3 would benefit breast cancer patients where CSCs are driven by the STAT3 signalling pathway, and in particular would combat therapy resistance and metastatic progression. In the Clarke lab, we have established in vitro and in vivo models of breast cancer patient-derived organoids and xenografts that metastasise to relevant organs such as lung and bone (Byrne et al., 2017, Eyre et al., 2019). The student will use these models to perform CSC assays, gene and protein expression analyses to characterise the signalling pathways targeted by SFX-01 and discover biomarkers that predict response.

The potential outcome is the definition of which breast cancers have STAT3 dependency and are sensitive to STAT3-targeted therapies. We aim to understand the mechanisms of STAT3 signalling and establish predictive biomarkers that will have translational value in precision medicine clinical trials, which the appointed student would help design during a placement in the iCASE partner company Evgen Pharma PLC, who aim to develop SFX-01 for improved breast cancer therapy.
