I disagree Jed very positive RNS. Forget the holes read what this means
WAI is currently nearing completion of its first stage rougher tests on all samples and will then proceed with final locked cycle testwork.
1 Product Lock Cycle Test Procedure
But what are the basics of flotation locked cycle testing?
A locked cycle test is a repetitive batch test used to simulate a continuous circuit. The basic procedure consists of a complete batch test performed in the first cycle which is then followed by similar batch tests which have “intermediate” material from the previous cycle added to the appropriate location in the current cycle. These batch tests, or cycles, are continued in this iterative manner for a number of cycles until, ideally, the steady state is reached. The final products from each cycle, i.e. final concentrate and final tailings, are filtered and thus removed from further processing. At the end of the test, all the products, final and intermediate, are dried, weighed and subjected to chemical analysis. The test is balanced and a metallurgical projection is made.
The professionals unfamiliar with this technique might think that locked cycled testing is only connected to flotation, but any procedure can actually be locked cycled tested, like a Bond grind-ability test, for instance.
Despite its undeniable value to the industry, this process is still lacking some scientific validation and that is reflected by the lack of studies and documentation regarding the preparation for a locked cycled test, the number of cycles that should be performed, how to assess if the test’s goal was really achieved, how to produce a valid metallurgical projection and how to assess if that same projection is valid.
Yet, producing a valid metallurgical projection is one of the most important parts of the process. This result is the “final numerical summary” of the test’s performance and it’s possible to achieve it by using three different procedures – n-product formula, SME procedure and concentrate production balance -, which will later provide the same projection for a test at a steady state

Europa Metals intends to utilise the findings and the tailings and rejects from the metallurgical and ore sorting test work, to establish a picture of how best the Company can use such waste products as both backfill and paste fill for potential future quarry reclamation and underground mining operations.
Geotechnical drilling programme
The Company has now completed the previously announced series of 5 shallow drill holes for approximately 79m across the area earmarked as the preferred future plant location. The aim of this programme was to provide geotechnical measurements of the subsoil characteristics by way of performing a series of tests. In conjunction with the drilling operations, Europa Metals' team also collated data from trench sampling and conducted further surface tests within the area concerned.
The information obtained from the programme and testing will be utilised to inform ground support for future plant construction.
In-house mining studies
Europa Metals is utilising the skills of its in-house consultants to enhance its understanding of the possible mining environment at Toral, manipulating the new datasets with various software packages to update internal models and assess the impact on potential future mining scenarios. This aids our strategic planning and will also assist our planned future application for a mining licence at Toral.

Operational Update
Europa Metals, the European focused lead, zinc and silver developer, is pleased to announce an operational update in relation to its activities at its wholly owned Toral lead, zinc and silver project in the Castilla y León region, Spain ("Toral" or the "Toral Project").
Highlights:
· 2022 resource drilling campaign underway; comprises a series of holes to be drilled at depth, targeting an increase in the Company's pre-existing JORC indicated resource estimate
· Geotechnical drill programme has now been completed
· Further to the excellent ore sorting recoveries demonstrated in late March 2022, Wardell Armstrong International Ltd is nearing completion of its rougher tests prior to embarking on locked cycle testwork
Commenting today, Myles Campion, acting CEO and Executive Chairman of Europa Metals, said:
"Europa Metals continues to progress its work programme on a number of fronts. Following a slight delay, the drill rig is now on site and I am pleased to get our 2022 resource drilling campaign underway, which seeks to target additional resources at depth."
Resource drilling
Following a slight delay to the arrival of the rig due to increased third party exploration and rig activity in Spain, we are pleased to report that our 2022 resource drilling campaign is now underway.
The objective of this latest campaign is to seek to extend the pre-existing indicated resource estimate at depth towards the east of the current zone and thereby link up a known area of encouraging data. If successful, it will enable us to increase the resource tonnage and enhance the previously envisaged mining plan. Additionally, all holes will be geotechnically evaluated as drilling progresses, providing additional information for the feasibility study process.
This drilling campaign will also feed into our previously announced R&D collaboration project with the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI), which is scheduled to be concluded later this year.
Metallurgical work and ore sorting
Samples were submitted to Wardell Armstrong International Ltd ("WAI") earlier this year, comprising both siliceous style mineralisation in the form of a bulk sample and carbonate style mineralisation in the form of two discrete samples.
The completed ore sorting work provided excellent results, as announced in March 2022, demonstrating that 94% of the overall lead and zinc in the feed, could be recovered whilst rejecting more than 43% of the original mass.
WAI is currently nearing completion of its first stage rougher tests on all samples and will then proceed with final locked cycle testwork.

At least we’re guaranteed an RNS tomorrow even if it’s just to say the warrants have expired.
I agree and they will still need zinc for galvanising that’s not going to change but if this goes ahead all of a sudden you will need more zinc for the batteries. It’s being installed 3rd quarter and then 6-12 months for testing. I’m sure the demand for our product will only increase rapidly.

Well no RNS at all in April. Those warrants go…are they signing a deal for a Toral… Tuesday RNS?
I had hoped if an RNS was good enough those warrants would have been snapped up. Theres always tomorrow but i doubt it unless the news is we have funding then 12.5p will be very cheap and will give us 600k in the coffers :)
Having no news this month do you think they will release something tomorrow or wait until after the bank holiday weekend?
@grappa they might be looking at your sell order and keeping the price low. Best to play the game and just sell :)
I think we’ve missed the point here everyone is saying we need a PFS to Derisk the project which that says to shareholders it’s derisked.
However to obtain a mining license in Spain it’s not necessary

This is what LR was going on about when they said they are working with Governments.
Click the link from the linked in page and look at who Ilzsg are
https://www.ilzsg.org/static/howwebegan.aspx?from=1
Who We Are
ILZSG was formed by the United Nations in 1959 to:
provide opportunities for regular intergovernmental consultations on international trade in lead and zinc,
provide continuous information on the supply and demand position of lead and zinc and its probable development and to make special studies of the world situation in lead and zinc,
consider possible solutions to any problems or difficulties which are unlikely to be resolved in the ordinary development of world trade.
The Study Group is one of the longest established International Commodity Organisations and as such has been the role model for other bodies such as the International Nickel Study Group and the International Copper Study Group.
How We Operate
The work of the Group is largely carried out by four committees: Standing, Statistical and Forecasting, Mine and Smelter Projects, Economic and Environment. Each committee is chaired by a representative from one of the ILZSG's national delegations, who directs the programme of work. The committee chairmen report back to the whole Study Group during formal sessions which are held at either the United Nations, or by government invitation in a member country, during October of each year. Further meetings take place in Spring, usually in Lisbon.
What We Do
The main role of the ILZSG is to ensure transparency in the markets for lead and zinc worldwide. This is achieved by producing a continuous flow of information to the market place on supply and demand developments in lead and zinc through the monthly publication of high quality statistics, in depth market research and specifically targeted economic studies. We also organise international sessions and special conferences bringing together industry and governments to discuss matters of concern in the lead and zinc sectors.
This is who we are rubbing together with. By having contacts here you are opening a market to a whole range of people. The members of this group are world wide which would suggest we will attract interest.
There’s some interesting presentations on there. Again not very well explained by MC or management as to why this content is here it’s just published at DYOR. But you have to read between the lines.
