I know he consistently gets a negative welcome and people complain about all these deadlines he’s missed for getting a project off the ground. I’m curious as to what these many missed production dates are. Moreso because MCPP our most advanced project (disregarding MED, which itself only came in to light not long ago), had a feasibility study done 3 years ago, stipulating Construction would take 36 months from commencement.

LC keeps getting abuse but I can’t recall many times (f any at all) where’s he’s said we’ll be bringing in revenue by now. The exception being Bordersley, which was supposed to be commissioned by last week but COVID-19 has prevented that one.

The company specifically bulleted 48 months from December that projects will be bringing in revenue. Now, if we haven’t got anything up and running by then I’ll happily agree with you that LC is struggling. Until then, just be patient otherwise it’s going to be a long 4 years!

I’m guessing you didn’t read the Presentation released in December which states first revenues will commence in 6 months and all 9 revenue streams are planned to commence with 48 months. Obviously Covid-19 has had an impact already, meaning Bordersley couldn’t be commissioned by last week but within 4 years every other project should be up and running.

Do your research... The North slope has similar extraction costs to America. There is also the additional cost of transporting to the pipeline and the usage costs. That’s why we (and the rest of the oil producing world) need oil prices to start rising again.

Institutions invest on level of risk, not on share price. They often go hand-in-hand, as penny stocks are frequently higher risk because they’re not producing and therefore not bringing in revenue and/or profit (which is why they are penny stocks).

A lot of the 20% would’ve been people getting in on the back of an increased oil price and the assumption drill results would be released on market open over there.

It’s bloody typical that we may receive news any day now and after Fridays step up in oil prices it’s heading down again!

Covid-19 and Opec+ are destroying my hopes of a jump above 5p if we get decent drill results. Gonna struggle to get over 2p at this bloody rate!

As much as I don’t mind being suspended or the silence around Citic & a potential sale. EUA were always very good with updating progress, especially on Twitter. Seeing as WK should be back in action in the next couple of weeks, it would be nice to know what their plan is for the year. Yes, the out of the ordinary silence makes me think even moreso that a sale is being precluded. However, it would be nice to know things are still continuing as usual for the time being, just incase a sale falls through.

TTP, personally, if we were able to obtain $25m in funding I can see this jumping up to around 2p, possibly higher as it would show investors there’s finally some value in this share. If we could obtain the $100m that LC mentioned the other day, that’s a game changer, which would bring a lot of interest to our other projects too, so could see a jump straight to 5p, if not considerably higher as it is still a fairly small project compared to our others.

I don’t actually mind LC myself, as I’ve held shares in many places with much worse Directors. However, I do question his ability to gain $100m of finance as that kind of money doesn’t get through around easily unless you’ve got a proven track record or an extremely enticing project.

I’ve always thought with AAU, the RNS’s seem too good to be true. The couple the last few months extending the deadline for the new partner are probably the most negative I can think of. On the flip side though, if after all this extensive due diligence the new partner still comes on board, it’s further confirmation that our assets definitely have some value.

It is mind boggling the number of people selling considering the grades that have been announced today. I almost feel sorry for the BoD here. They keep giving us good news but it seems like no one is listening!

Couldn’t resist another cheeky top-up again today whilst prices are below .30p. The way I’m looking at things is that the number of cases of Covid-19 are slowly reducing in Italy, so it’s likely AB will be back operating in some capacity in the not too distant future. Plus, if news drops of MED’s $100m funding, these alone will likely push us above the 1p mark, potentially much higher, nevermind the rest of the projects in KIBOs portfolio.

What’s the average price per barrel on the North Slope? I’ve looked and have seen figures ranging from $40-$70. Seems like too much of a spread for one area. If it is true is concerning because oil isn’t anticipated to go back above $50 for quite some time.

It’s ironic because up until about 2 months ago no one was bothered at all about our holding in KAT. Since the announcement of Blyvoor, people are all of sudden concerned about KATs dilution.

It’s also funny how the people slating LC now will be the same ones saying how good a job he has done once all these the projects are off the ground. I’ve seen it time and time again. One of the best being BMN. The board were being absolutely ridiculed when we went down to 1.5p. Then when it went up to near 50p the exact same people were saying what a brilliant job the board had done.

It means nothing. Is a bit unusual seeing as in 12 months it could be worth 4 times the current sp, but he may have really needed the money for something.

If anything I see this as a very positive RNS. The BOD saying the current sp is materially undervalued isn’t something you very often.

Yes, to be fair to them, considering all the issues logistically going on around the globe at the moment they’re still getting thing done with little delay. It’s nice to hear that legal agreements are being drafted too.

Just think, in a months time AAU May have signed an agreement to receive millions in cash and have an accelerated route to Salinbas production. On the flip side, if we don’t enter into it, we still have all the value there ourselves for later down the line. Very fortunate to be in a win/win situation.

I’d be interested to see the plan for Salinbas if the agreement isn’t entered into. I could see us going 50/50 with Proccea and using current revenues as a funding stream.

You’re on the right track with figures, it’s pretty much what I worth off before investing somewhere. Remember too, that’s only for the initial start-up ie next year! The hardest thing here is going to be not hitting the sell button for 3 years. Once production has started ramping up and a first divi is announced, this will absolutely rocket just because there’s so few shares out there.

Thought I’d throw my 2 pence in on this one because I’m in both AAU and GGP. AAU is by far the safer bet short term, GGP has greater long term potential but is currently much higher risk. My personal opinion though, BMV. They’ve received the licences for 2nr mines in December and a couple of days ago they entered into a legally binding agreement to secure non-dilutive funding. They have so few shares in issue that once they’re producing later this year / early next, they’ll be worth a fortune. They’re up another 20% today too.

AAU is a sound stock though and I’ve been very happy with progress here for the last few years.

Does anyone know our average production cost per oz?

When both Kochang and Gubong are in full flow in a few years time the revenues are going to huge! Provided our production costs are fairly low, we could be looking at some nice size divi’s with such few shares on the market. I can’t believe our mcap is still so low considering all permits are in place and funding is pretty much nailed on. Even if you thought it was still high risk because we’re not yet producing it could be worth a punt just on the potential returns.

Just seen us in the top 5 risers list. Nice reading that RNS too and seeing we’ve finally got someone on board that will be able to push this forward. I had to keep reminding myself of the huge potential this project has, just to avoid pressing the sell button!

Brilliant interview. A little sad to hear him say 12 months from financing until production as I was hoping it may still be this year. It was however, very nice to hear him saying their aiming for 100,000oz at 5 years. That’s a nice $160m! Not bad for a company with an mcap of just £8m, only 369m shares in issue and only receiving debt financing of
£5m.

I always thought this was one of the best prospects in my portfolio. Now I think it’s one of the best on the AIM!
