I believe the problem here is that post SFO Petrofac have to be squeaky clean so the officials who award the contracts in Iraq are no longer interested in them taking on new contracts. No graft in it for them so the contracts go elsewhere where there are some bribes to solicit. Anyone who had worked in Iraq knows how corrupt the place is.
Try again - spell checker intervening.

From a Swiss website finanzen.com yesterday 17/4 at 14.17 a disclosure that Cromwell now own -
(1) Relevant securities owned and/or controlled:
164,658,952
7.38%
I’m not sure if this was generally known but I believe it shows Cromwell buying shares which would seem to confirm the seriousness of their bid.
IKN post as mentioned by Mr Long - A great day for the company. Pinto just lost his mole. Goodbye. LIMA, PERU--(Marketwired - June 15, 2016) - Minera IRL Limited ("Minera IRL" or the "Company") (BVLAC:MIRL), Latin America gold mining Company, announces the resignation of Messrs. Doug Jones and Robin Fryer from the Board of Directors of the Company. Full NR here. We note with interest the way Doug Jones gets "The Company wishes Doug Jones every success with his new mining venture in West Africa" at the end. And Robin Fryer doesn't.
Hi, like Smrrty I have also blocked Maxo so I don't have to plough through his rantings whilst trying to get some information. I appreciate both your frustration with some of the posters here but apart from IKN it is hard to get any information on what is happening with Minera. I get the impression it is all going in the right direction for the Community and development of Ollachea. As and when there is more significant news could you please consider posting at least a short summary of events here ? you two are the only ones who seem to know anything of value. I've no plans to sell my shares but I'd like to know when they are likely to be back trading again and on which exchanges. Thanks.
Kenj - if Minera delist from AIM and re-list eventually on a Canadian Exchange do you know what the process is for the shares we hold ? Do they automatically move across to the Canadian exchange ? I hold mine through Hargreaves Lansdown - but in a SIPP which I expect might complicate matters as the new shares will probably not be eligible to be held in a SIPP. Any advice or thoughts appreciated.
Don't get wound up by Maxo. Many of us watch for your posts on this board as you are the only person close to the action. Most other posts are speculation or letting off steam. As with most investors we have a range of risk in our portfolios - Minera is the top end of this risk and we expect some to fail. Hopefully it will work out well for Minera so the workers, Peru and the shareholders all benefit. All complex situations take time to sort out and most of this has to be done behind closed doors. I expect you know far more than you are able to share but please keep posting when you have something new. Thanks again for your efforts.
Jaime Pinto was voted out with 92% of the votes going against him. Roughly 131 million to 9 million.
Ibwaiting2 - You've clearly taken some calculated risks in posting on this Forum. It's assured me as a shareholder that those that mattered in Peru plus the major partners were all working together to resolve this. Thanks again for your input. I look forward to your final post next week ! Maxo - go have that beer and don't buy any more shares that are as risky as AIM listed Gold Mines. And if you do make sure it is an amount you can afford to lose !!
The very useful links posted by Eljay for taking some direct shareholder action were initially deleted. I've just scrolled back down to his posts and the links have all been restored and work. I suggest we all prod a few sleeping regulatory bodies into taking some action. It is what they are paid to do !
As a Minera IRL shareholder I read this blog (in addition to Otto at IKN) as it seems to be the only place where the facts of the bizarre goings on in this company are explained. I particularly appreciate your informed input as you are clearly close to the action. You occasionally get some flack on this website - please ignore this and carry on informing us about progress in sorting this mess out by Diego Benavides. Obviously investing in AIM companies is risky and gold mines even more so - nothing in investing will ever keep me awake at night but I wanted to say thanks for your efforts in keeping us up to date. One question - do we yet know the % Vote at the Canada EGM ?
