I am confused about the functionality of the unit coming down from Chester. I recall it being built years ago. How does it differ from the unit now being built at Bridgend? Any help would be valuable.

this is nonsense ; agl were forced to change tack when they realised that clinical delivery (direct to hospitals for patient use) was never going to happen given the state of clinical and therapeutic research at the time. so massive retrenchment had to go on, while a new approach was developed. to suggest that this was proactive is, to be polite, more hype from an. this has involved working with big pharma, so far with limited success, and also cosying up to illumina to share some of the attractions of analysing ctdna.

there is a very long road ahead.

If you think any comment on this board has the remotest effect on SP you are deluded. But I think other posters know that already. So, whoever pays you to rabbit on interminably is wasting their money

To anyone who reads Carrot's daily rants, such as yesterday's, should consider the possibility that the Pharma firms are less credulous than Carrot. CTCs are NOT present in every blood sample in patients with metastatic disease, and rarely in the absence of mets. Pharma have perhaps concluded that it is not worth it. Such a concept is beyond Carrot's imagination. Meanwhile let the blood continue to boil.

FFS is they don't test them during a trial then they will never find out what their expensive drug does to the CCT's! I think it's scandellous. Enough to make one's blood boil."
