Not gonna lie, looks like the investment committee made an error with that one. It's almost like the CEO of Gore Street purposefully bought the asset from Avantus so he'd get a pay out on both sides! Seems a little bit suspect?! Especially when all eyes should have been on Europe - has the ITC really been that positive for GSF?? Same question regarding the RA contract.

They've been involved with GSF for nearly 7 years so I would assume yes is the answer to that one...

Respectfully...this could go up 1,000% and would still be down on the long term investment. The only way that would be profitable if if the mcap managed to return to somewhere north of £20m and then issued a dividend to cover the "gains".

No, it's a project that doesn't exist, with no financing and no offtake agreement. So nothing more than a speculative plant, exactly the same as THAR.

The green hydrogen play was to try and stay relevant in a shift sands market, apart from now the market has shifted away from hydrogen again. So coal is out, hydrogen is out...and we've got 1 of each. Luckily Gold is still a valuable commodity. Honestly I'm waiting for Naheed to announce we're going into bitcoin mining now and she's bought loads of land in Norway for it - not realising you need computing power.......

Why would you own a degrading asset? You can offer a toll and lease the capacity.

This feels a lot like the buying a car vs financing it - arguments for both but if it was me, I would opt for the financing. There will be a lot of "cheap" debt landed assets up for grabs in the future and considering GRID and GSF are both struggling to sell anything - very doubtful this will get off the ground.

How does that have an impact on the UK? GRID have all their built assets here. They've also signed floor agreements for then next few years so you can estimate the "minimum" revenue expected from that.

It won't be enough to fund new assets and it won't be enough to move NAV higher as the "floor" is well below the expected revenue curves they would have likely used when investing (circa 2022)

Wonder how much Zak Mir is paid to "chart" a share with some bullish narrative when the experienced folks in the share know a placing is coming and the shares are forward sold to PI's who lap it up. Needs to be investigated for fraud if AIM is ever going to be cleaned up.

Who do you want to see replace them though? Needs to be someone with working knowledge of their portfolio, deep understanding of markets and commercial viability. There aren't really many folks out there that will fit the bill.

Getting someone without BESS knowledge is adding fuel to the fire.

Because the market understands that the GRID assets are not a brand new 2 hour fleet like HEIT and are worth considerably less. Even bringing them up to 1.5 hrs they're still not "market standard" - the same way some of GSF assets in GB not performing that well in comparison to newer +2-hour assets. Entering a trading market where energy is king, not power.

I mean realistically if you believed the NAV reports and that revenues in markets would only grow, you've kinda got yourself to blame.

ERCOT in 2023 was a golden year that'll never be repeated to the same degree. Same with GB in 2022. Ireland has been propping up the portfolio for a while now and you can see that in the annual report. Good to see Germany come back, clearly they backed the right horse.

Now that GRID has put a floor in place, I'm slightly concerned as to why GSC advised GSF that they could do a better job at trading "in-house" rather than play the same hedge game. Afterall if you know the markets, there's very little revenue to be made in GB compared to others so lock it in and keep the assets online.

Wonder how much dilution or debt or other funding is needing to get the remainder of the portfolio online. Perhaps selling some of the Irish assets at a high valuation will kick the can down the road further?

Looking through, the BTC holding (~58) is circa £5.1m - mcap is £27m...that's a huge delta.

Either more needs to be raised to do this properly or people should just buy BTC right?
