I bought briefly in the RedT days sold before **** hit the fan there. Really liked the Avalon product so welcomed the merge. Had multiple calls with Larry and Matt over the years but nothing which really gave me any faith in this being a successful investment. The product is better than it was but the opportunity to make enough money to go back to where it was is still years away. I was told there was a multi-GWh pipeline of orders in 2021, so far we've seen what? less than 500 MWh. The big players are all doing 10 GWh per year, if they want to compete they need to do that. I'd love to see this succeed and have given many presentations on flow batteries to investors (that'll give you an indication as to where I worked), now responsible for investing in assets - this wouldn't be one of them, not for the UK, not for Europe.

But i'll be sure to return when we do buy one circa 2025!

Or providing an alternative viewpoint for all of those ramping this share. All the posts about "this is amazing, next stop £2" are complete rubbish.
Once some actual battery operators or investment funds who own BESS get onboard then you'll see fireworks - till then it'll be a kick the can down the road kind of story.

Where are the large European orders? There is a massive demand for it if you believe BNEF but in reality flow batteries, including these ones, would not make economical sense in the European market. Unless they are bought by grid or companies needing backup - something to sit there passively and respond when needed - shame lead is the current best provider for that.

US order seem to be few and far between too given the fact the board spend a lot of time there you'd have thought there would be more interest. 100s MW li-ion systems being announced daily - where are the order for flow? "technically" it's a safer system... so what's missing??

But sure - everyone go crazy for a 1.5 MWh system in Korea, in a dead market - not even Samsung and LG are interested in their home market after the last 5 years of boom and bust.

A big jump off the back of a 1.5 MWh system come on?? If this is what it takes to get things moving, I'm pretty sure Matt and Larry can personally by a MWh system every month with the amount they've been paid over the years.

Whilst I agree with your notion - the board who hold 20% (now higher) of the company are also being paid for this. There has been very little movement of the share price since taking over apart from the consolidation. I believe there are performance related incentives that were put in place, do you not want to achieve these.

I look across the portfolio and there are some cracking investments but after 4 years, nothing has materialised. Doesn't matter who's in charge if nothing is happening. I'm happy to come on board as CEO and get paid £20k (another huge pay cut) to deliver exactly the same as what the current board are offering.

This company is bleeding money chasing rainbows - one day something might come off and the board will make a lot of money. Is there enough money in the bank to make sure that happens as realistically it's 3 or 4 years away still.

All the best RKB - I went a lot earlier than you but my concerns were the same. The Board have no interest in turning this around and pushing it forward. Somehow they've take a company with plenty of prospects to a worthless company with plenty of prospects - not good!

I don't understand why anyone is suggesting there will be a placing. Naheed stated in her last interview that fair value for ORCP is multiples high (to use her words: 10p).

There will need to be funding for the next phases of expansion but given the assets value, and once this is realised, we'll likely secure a debt structure rather than a placing. Unless the share prices is above what the company deems "fair value" and then they'll go to market for it.

To be clear - there will not be a placing anytime soon. Not this year or next, unless fair value is achieve. Onwards and upwards!

The next conversion will be at a lower level...it's been mentioned here before but £1.5m is a LOT of overhang - unless someone is going to drop that much quickly then we'll be off running

I've just looked back at the RNS's and the CLN notes is slightly concerning. there's at least 1-5-1.6m still to be converted...I think once this gets down to around £200-300k left the upside will be huge.

I am confused as to why you think these loan notes are what's driving the price down? Conversion price of 3.9p means someone converting and selling is doing it at a loss which is a net benefit for the company. The Convertor would surely wait to convert these.

Now looking at the crypto market - that would certainly drive a bear market!! Mode need to respond to this with some transparency. There's no reason why they are not doing better - Ziglu has more coins then them and have been active for about as long. I have a Mode account but choose to hold my crypto elsewhere on the back of poor performance of the SP

Completely agree with that - I recognise the point about dilution, however I think it's prudent when the level and timing it'll be done at are not currently in scope.
There are fully funded for current operations - confirmation of THAR (valued at over a billion dollars) yields a mcap of over £100m - min 10x from where we are - should the project be valued at 3bn then we're looking at £300m and 30x (close to 6p).

Plus the additional value from GH and gold which are definitely not priced in appropriately yet.

On that basis any funding, when it is needed, will be above 5p at a minimum - mentioning these words generally has a negative mindset so probably should be avoided.

Sorry but why do you think it's going to cause dilution. We have partnerships with BIG players. For THAR - we have a 13% share, the debt can be provided by one of the players rather than via dilution.

0.3 is the breakout level - I think there's a lot of people hoping it doesn't go above there. Would be on a rolling if it breaks it.

Need some good PR to set the ball rolling.

I think the big factor here will be what the next dividend price is going to be at. I don't think coal demand will fall, not for the next 6 months to cover winter. April will likely see the biggest drop as the globe warms.
