Not sure if this has already been discussed but thought worth sharing. I’m not an expert on websites but I had a look at the “view source” option on the website and could only see a 2022 in there so it may be a new site or at least one that was has updated in 2022 unless the 2022 relates to something else.

It’s this underlying objective of economic development and fact that EUA is on the authority’s radar which makes me confident that “shorty” will be as short as possible because metals only = jobs and taxes (and of course dividend for EUA investors) when they are pulled out of the around and sold to a customer.

If the buyer was from the West then yes, I’d think the uncertainty around Ukraine could cause a delay but look at Mitsubishi - Nissan - Renault. Two Japanese and a French co signing up to invest $23 billion in EV development over the next 5 years targeting Japan, France and China. They’re not waiting to see if China invades Taiwan even though China has openly stated it’s number 1 objective is to bring Taiwan under its control and will probably be in a position to do so midway through that project’s investment cycle. I totally forgot about our new NED’s link to Mitsubishi when I posted the below yesterday so who knows if there is any link:

Russian side seem more positive after todays meeting, saying that the US has now agreed to written proposals which I believe they weren’t ready to do previously:

I believe that the ground is frozen right now and will be melting in March after which time it will be more difficult to move the heavy equipment and tanks across the marshy land. After that point it’s believed that it’s less likely anything will happen. Sanctions wise, I think we need to separate miners like EUA from banks or individuals who are of interest like politicians and senior defence staff. Of course a buyer could play games and see whether EUA could still raise funds if it needed to go alone but I think we’re covered due to the EPCF being with Sino Steel. More generally, if the Chinese are conducting investor visits to Murmansk for tourism projects right now, I think we can assume that we’d be able to secure investment from counties like Japan, China and South Korea for critical metals over the coming decades so overall I’m sure these events aren’t helpful but I’m not overly worried as it stands.
