Ibug - I don't think Turkey has ever been very successful at attracting foreign oil companies. Since the fiscal terms are Ok and there are no barriers to entry I suspect the problem lies with the geology. It's complex and the finds seem to be small compared to elsewhere in the region. If you're looking at the Middle East Egypt (or Oman) is a better bet for exploration

the words "gentleman" and "geologist" are rarely found in the same sentence unless it also contains "not". The one's I've met (male and female) seem to have an inbuilt generic trait that aligns them to the nearest pub automatically, and if there's a choice, allows them to home on the one with the cheapest beer.

Well yes & no - the history of oil exploration is full of companies who explored an area, walked away only for someone else to come in with different idea. Wytch Farm is classic, the Morecambe Bay Gas fields were actually drilled right through , never recognised , and relinquished. Shell spent a fortune on East Africa in the 90's, walked away and everyone else came in and found Trillions of cu ft of gas...................

One thing - explorationists are probably the most optimistic people you'll ever meet (even more so than AIM investors) - you have to have a certain odd mind set to keep exploring when you only ever have a 20% -30% chance of finding anything - never mind something commercial. They drill a dry well and immediately have plans for the next one in their hands

but he/she won't - its a Tory Council, it's an area full of Tories - and the Govt doesn't give any support to the onshore Oil & gas business

The local electorate don't want UKOG anywhere near the site & they don't see that the money eventually comes out of their pockets .
And if it did it's probably about £2 each - which compared to what they fear O&G doing to their house values seems like a great bargain

It won't be a court case - it will be a Planning Enquiry - and they seem to be running about a year to 14 months behind - so I'd guess after Easter 2022

I think the problem with ANGS is that investors have heard a great deal of positive statements & plans from the BoD over the years which have not come to pass - so no-one is willing to invest until we see some concrete actions occur. The latest RNS's are fine as far as they go but we still don't have the money - and until that arrives people will, to quote Lucan "sit on their hands"
