Hi everyone,
I've been invested in Kodal since February 2021, when I bought in at 0.1p. After spending most of 2020 indoors and playing around with trading apps, Kodal was my first 'big' investment. I remember thinking oh my god, what I have I done, this will go to zero in no time and I will have lost all of my money.
Needless to say, it didn't go to zero, in fact it doubled to 0.2p only a few weeks after I bought in and it's never looked back.
It's been a bumpy ride, from the highs of July 2021 to the drudgery of 2022. Memories of opening my browser on January 19th 2023 to see the 70% increase and the RNS to end all RNSs. The bittersweetness of being on holiday in Thailand during April 2023, watching the sp go mental, then getting dengue fever. Making a year's salary in a day while feeling like your on death's door - you have to try it some time!
Such a shame the company's hands were tied throughout 2023, and we had to put up with incessant drivel on this board. Thank you (Laverda, Daz, MercedesMan, onlyking and others) so much for all the time and effort you put into keeping a lid on the fear, uncertainty and doubt disruption efforts during the monotony of postponed longstop dates.
So what next?
It's clear we are on a one way trip to becoming a lithium producer and it's now looking more and more likely that the target of this calendar year will be achieved. It should hopefully be a fun year on the long and winding road to the monumental heights I feel Kodal will be at in 2030.
Why have I chosen today to write my first post?
Well, I don't normally drink coffee and I've just had a monster Americano, but I also want to provide fellow shareholders with some insight into the significance of today's news about ESG. Every financial advisor will ask their client whether they want to make ethical only investments. I can't imagine many clients say no. To get access to the majority of high-wealth investors' money, large investment funds therefore have to prove that all of the stocks in their portfolios are 'ethical' in some way. Kodal's commitment to ESG ensures there will be no barrier to institutional investment as they will no doubt become a brighter and brighter dot on the radar during the coming months.
So, with next week's outside chance of a suspension of shares, followed by announcement of the sale of Nielle for circa $100 million, followed by an announcement of a 0.5p per share special dividend, in mind...
I wouldn't want to be out of this over the weekend!!
