No real surprise in this mornings RNS. We knew it was coming. It was already in the SP and at least we live to fight another day. I note the comment about approvals at the upcoming AGM..............See you there !

Given the track record the concern is more what kind of deal !

Certainly the conclusion I am beginning to draw. That or the Swag Bag ...............but for the deeply sceptical securing funding would enable BOD to continue to function as is for the forseeable.............

201 update remained positive and built on the previous year. We must be getting v close to the wire on funding now. The silence is deafening - do we dare to conclude negotiations are underway in the absence of funding plans ...............?

Didn’t the Board day at the AGM that they had made significant investments when setting the company up? With no shareholding how then do they expect to recoup that investment ??

It's a difficult one Freddie.

If the 201 RNS is to be believed then there is the basis for something very positive. I acknowledge that to an extent it regurgitated some info already published but, efficacy and telerability seemed to be established within a dosing regime.

401 turned out to be a paliative. The announcement about 6 interested parties and 2 LOIs was either an indication of astounding naivete or cynical manipulation to drive further raises. Similar to the suggestion that the recent funding debacle was a good deal in the RNS announcement.

Two basic issues here. The first is communication is almost non existent. To the points made earlier a business working for the benefit of it's shraeholders would be in regular dialogue with both current and prospective investors so the absence has to be a worry.

More concerning is the lack of investment by the Board themselves. If the shareprice has the potential to multibag as some on here suggest then surely the BOD would be invested to demonstrate confidence and to benefit from such a rerate.

I say it's a difficult one as the Prostate Cancer and Endometriosis markets are both massive and VAL is progessing in both. As you say what we need is some clear communication from the BOD on strategy and funding plans through 2020 and beyond IMO GLA

I tend to agree with you. I'm massively invested over the past 7 years. I lost my fingerprints with the infamous ' we know of no reason' RNS. I'm hugely frustrated by the lack of communication and I understand the lifestyle company comments et al.

But, if the observations about efficacy and tolerabilty of 201 are correct, then a lot of heavy lifting has been done and a realstic basis for forming a partnership is there. All I would urge is better communication from the BOD and effective PR, particularly in terms of strategy for 2020 and beyond. I work with a number of global companies all of whom communicate effectively with current and prospective shareholders and Val should be no different. I'm conscious of the venom spouted about 'second hand shareholders'. But, in reality, if you take the emotion out then the ststement is correct - we have bought on the open market shares previously owned by those that have participated in a placing vis a broker. You pays yer money and makes yer choice.

So I, like you, look forward to formal evaluation of 201 and a New Years resolution from BOD to communicate regularly and effectively.

Whilst I know it's a very contentious subject, one of the ironies here is that the R&D tax credit claims are mostly made up of salary costs. It's a shame the constituents of the claims for this year and lst are not visible..............
