Never heard Buck on steroids before but, like Wigster 21.12, I think I detected some doubt from Jerry about getting to Gobi. However there are more milestones on the way to be hit, not least the payment issue, but the financial PR needs improvement.

What a surprise (not) to see a sea of green this morning. There's a cloud hanging over Matad because PC have withheld a grossly unfair amount from our payments. Wouldn't it be nice, Uncle Buck, if you could dispel that cloud before the presentation...

Mike Buck said some time ago that he had an alternative route to market for our oil, but a tad more costly than through PC. Why does he not use it, especially if we save several dollars using electricity rather than diesel power (which could/should have been organised in the winter downtime)?

If MG/refinery is in urgent need of lots of Block XX oil, what is the impediment to confirming no tax and duties should be payable 'selling through' PC?

I think significant damage has been done by very poorly worded RNSs; almost every piece of good news is tinged with a negative slant which inevitably leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

If Buck has a turd to deliver along with the good news, at least the financial PR people should roll it in glitter.

33m barrels at a minimum $3/barrel = $99m against our ludicrous £11m Mcap.

Matd set out to raise a minimum of $2.25m in the placing but $4m was subscribed - not a failure in my book.

There was little appetite for the official retail offer but many bought at the same price in the local market.

Overall, the company set out to raise $3m and received $4.2m.

I too bought on the open market.

Buck needs to pull his finger out, confirm resolution of the monies withheld and some concrete progress on other fronts.

Not sure an RNS is needed every month regarding payment.

What is derisory is that the tax position should have been clear in the contractual documents and not in doubt many months after everyone signed off.

Come on, Mike Buck, issue a positive RNS about it for once!

I find it very hard to believe that an Oil Sales Agreement which took MB six months to confect and get signed with the approval of MRPAM does not make tax implications clear.

However there is no mention of Plan B (alternative sales channel) so he must be confident of receiving payment.

Are we being softened up for a low-ball offer from PC, and MB riding off into the sunset with Sunsteppe?
