Boyo.....do you use VWAP at all?
I guess a few folks have sold on the recent rise. Hope to be coming back in any drop off in SP after Special XD on 5th July.
Goes XD for Final (or interim, can't recall) on 22nd.July, so will be interesting how SP moves once people sell after getting the Special £3.55p......
I think i read somewhere that HSBC would announce whether to pay an Interim Dividend at the time of H1 results on August 2nd.
Does anyone have any further info on the possibility of an interim?
Chitty....dropped to 2014 so now off 16% in 6 weeks from £24 top
Topped up today at 2,021
Happy with that
Yield will soon be heading towards 6%
Hold yer horses there fortyniner! Just pure luck old boy. Sold the first half earlier in the day & the SP dropped to 1,157
Sat at computer holding my mouse & steadilly it got back to 1,162.5.....so hit the sell button. Phew.....
But, not the same story with my BT shares which i sold a few days earlier at 197.5......have carried on up to 204
Am now trying to figure out why my BHP Group have dropped over 12% in 5 weeks, for no apparent reason
Good luck everyone
Not many people posting on here recently, but could be a few watching.
Can anyone shed any light on why the SP has taken a 12% drop from £24 on 10th May to £20.92 as i type today?
Thanks in advance
Same here, out but still watching.
Very rarely i feel i bought/sold at just the right time but sold both half's of my Pnn @ 1,162.50p the other day.
Since then the SP has dropped, & quite a bit.
Will, like others, be waiting for the consolidation to settle and then will maybe look to buy back.
Perhaps before XD on 22 July.
Sold my remainder late yesterday afternoon and, like others, will hope to get back in once all the uncertainty is over
Good luck all
Well, sold half my position & took a 20.5% return over a few months.
Got 1,162.22p...it's more than i would have accepted a week back, so happy
Remaining half may go this afternoon. Boris could confirm an opening delay, which might depress the general market in morning.
Already thinking i should have sold all.......so indecisive at moment
GL everyone
......
Gerry,
finger on the sell button here too.
But holding off & watching. Think there may be a bit more in it yet.
Drops 5p then am out, but will probably hold as long as it keeps rising. £12, definatly out.......
14 more trading days until XD
Crikey! 1,144 already. I expected a rally on the run up to Special XD day, but this is already pushing my 1,150 sell plan.
With 15 more trading days to go before Sp XD i think i will raise that target to 1,160 (or above)
With a 5p trailing stop as a sell point.
What are other holders plans?
That sound a similar strategy to mine Reader. Too many variables as to where the SP will be taken. Whereas if i get anywhere near 1,150 that's a certain profit if i cash in. Then i feel i will have some control & not be a 'passenger' to the SP movement.
Mine are within an ISA, so free of CGT too
1,113 just now, so hopefully will rise as people pile in for the Sp Divi
Good luck to all, whatever they decide
Speaking for myself i have (sort of) decided to sell my shares if there is a run up in the SP leading up to Special XD
Bought @ 961p so will take the profit
1150p would lock in a 20% return.....
"The special dividend will be worth 355p per share after a two-for-three share consolidation announced Thursday."
So, just to be clear, will i get 355p per share on my holding now or 'after' i have a third less shares?
Here's another article from the same foolish idiots that contradicts today's one.
Just 2 months ago when share price was about the same.
Quote...."I think the BT share price is a bargain buy when considering where BT could be in a year or so"

Article today from this bunch of.....fools
https://www.fool.co.uk/investing/2020/10/05/bt-shares-remain-flat-on-news-of-nokia-replacing-huawei-as-its-5g-supplier/
Makes a bit more sence to me now.
A £50bn windfall for BT would be a little much to expect, tho welcome.
Thanks both
