I still can't work out why YGEN a company of similar size to ODX are winning Govt contracts, yet ODX and GDR are struggling. I don't get it.

One thing I've learned from GDR is that no news = bad news to come.

Time to put your money where your mouth is. 25p is a great entry point for this stock. Do you buy now, wait for the Placing, sell, or do nothing? One thing I definitely won't be doing is selling.

I think it will stay between 25 and 30 between now and the Placing. If we're lucky it could bounce higher but the way the Covid testing stocks are at the minute, 30 will be the ceiling.

What I find interesting is the minute the RNS was announced the SP plummeted to the Placing price and the shares were snapped up by I suspect II's. Getting them cheap in time for the inevitable rise. Maybe something is cooking in the background, could be AIHL, India, or Covid test. Who knows, but there's still potential here.

Dave - No I'm not currently in, but I do know they are very well run company whose directors communicate with the shareholders. Not surprised board members are investing their own money, DDDD are going places.

Budd is earning FTSE wages with an AIM company. But to be fair he has reduced GDR's previous debts to zero, who knows what bonuses he is getting for that. Either way discussions will have to be opened regarding his exorbitant salary.

Have to agree with you there Dave. I've been in DDDD a couple of times and did very well each time. Current SP is a steal, but money tied up elsewhere.

GGGT - If you can't find investor news on the website, then you have no business being invested over here in the first place.

My current average is 85. I could average down to 55 at the current price, as there's more chance this hits 55 rather than 85. But my worry is that the CEO will continue to treat shareholders with disdain, rinse the company, and come back to shareholders when the Placing money dries out. I just don't trust this man from what I've seen so far, there is no comms with shareholders whatsoever. He strikes me as very arrogant. At least Colin rears his head every now and again over at ODX. This one stays completely submerged and only comes out to air bad news, the man is not fit for purpose.

If there's some positive to come out of this latest RNS, is that GDR has not aquired any debt and is still debt free. The negative is that it has come at the expense of shareholders. After the dilution on the 1st Oct GDR will have at least 100M shares in circulation with a MCAP of 20M, not great stats but I've seen a lot worse. The MCAP will only improve if one of the products get commercialisation, and CE markings for other products.

The Placing news and the current SP looks very depressing to say the least, but I think the Placing price will be the very bottom from which we build. A big bounce up could still come if the Covid tests, AHIL, or BC takes off. Any news on any of these fronts before the Placing would be a big plus, but the way this outfit has performed so far, that's never going to happen. There's every chance this could recover, but it will be at least six months before we see £1 again imo.

When I look at Budd and what he is doing to GDR, the way he treats his shareholders, Colin is actually not too bad. All those still moaning about lack of sales, count yourselves lucky that this hasn’t tanked like GDR.

The average wages for a CEO running a company of similar size to GDR is £230K, Budd receives £450K nearly double the going rate. If we are having problems paying staff wages and covering overheads, then he should start by cutting his own wage, so that it falls into line of what is the going rate. Outrageous that he is allowed to pay himself extortionate wages while the company is struggling. Get him out asap or at the very least cut his wages. This absolutely needs to be addressed in the next meeting.

I don't think shareholders should allow Budd to get his hands on any of the Placing money. Give it to someone who actually cares about the company and the shareholders, and who will invest the money wisely. All Budd is doing is paying himself fat wages, delivering nothing, and treating shareholders with contempt. An emergency GM should be called and Budd should be voted out. Enough is enough.

So a Placing, just as a lot of people were predicting would happen. Guess they've been proved right. Thought a big contract would have materialised before it got to this. Had big hopes that something would happen with BC but all we've had is a wall of silence and little or no action.

The Placing is not until Oct 1st so don't see much happening with the SP until then. Whether we get any contracts from the Framework or BC remains to be seen but it's now going to be a longer hold than most expected. Let's pray this outfit starts generating sales and bring back some confidence to this stock, otherwise we could slip further.

Hello Tricky, no not on the wacky backy here’s what the previous update said:

“Omega announces that it has begun the process of engagement with its European Notified Body seeking CE marking of the VISITECT® COVID-19 Antigen test, a rapid point-of-care diagnostic test for the detection of active COVID-19 infections as a self-test. The Company is agreeing the protocols required for utilisation studies and will update shareholders as this process progresses. The test is already CE marked for professional-use and the Company is targeting approval by the end of July to allow the test to be sold in Europe for home-use as well”.

Did you read that, EU approval was supposed to happen end of July. So yes, heard it all before same old same old. Boring and irrelevant RNS.

Another RNS telling us what we already know. What about the Food tolerance self test in China? What about the HIV tests in Africa? I want an update on these, not repetitive nonsense about the DHSC contract. We already know where we stand with that.

Here we describe a multi-centre study to evaluate the analytical sensitivity, specificity and clinical performance of a novel Ag-RDT (Mologic COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test, Mologic Ltd, UK) among individuals with and without COVID-19 symptoms attending secondary care facilities in Merseyside, Yorkshire ambulance services, and drive-through testing facilities in Northumberland, UK.

Conclusions: Overall, the Mologic test had high diagnostic accuracy across multiple different settings, different demographics, and on self-collected swab specimens. These findings suggest the Mologic rapid antigen test may be deployed effectively across a range of use settings.
