The antibodies test will have to be used with the app for the Gov to properly track where the virus is. People who order the home test kits will have to be trusted to input into the app whether they are positive or negative.

@eva20 this is what the government led test will eliminate. These companies that are trying to flood the market with dodgy antibodies kits will be blown out the water once the gov website is fully up and running. People will not use these dodgy kits and will go straight to the Gov website for their tests. In fact that's what I'm waiting for. I'll probably grab my kit in July. This is the game changer we've all been waiting for.

Why can't people understand that most European countries will all be trying to develop their own COVID19 tests. You will see all the pharma companies making announcements, doesn't mean they're all competing with ODX. ODX is already wrapped up in the RTC Consortium and is the only PLC heading the consortium. All sound bytes at this sensitive time is being made by the Ltd companies and for very good reason. ODX will announce when the time is right.

@Merchantbanker looks like a lot of people lost their bottle this morning and scarpered. The wiser heads will be holding steady. I bought in at 22 and 34 so no panic. Just hoping this can drop to 40 so I can snap up some more, I doubt it though . Looks like investors are snapping them up at 50s. This will all come to light very very soon, and when it does it will be all systems go.

All those that have properly researched this stock, just buckle up and enjoy the ride. Those who didn't and seem confused by all the different companies involved, will need to go and do some more research.

@Kevmb the survey has already taken place and they are now ramping up the antibodies testing. The rollout is well underway and this is now live on the gov.uk and Monologic websites. It looks like this has gone past the design freeze and approval stages. Production is up and running, at least that's the way I understand it. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

By the sounds of things we are very very close. Just need to get the POC device approved and we will be well on our way. Bear in mind ODX already have a manufacturing deal with Mologic, so once this is approved ODX will begin manufacturing at their various plants. Biosure is just another Rapid Test manufacturer brought in to help with production.

@gkb47 I hope your right. If ODX goes it alone without the government, will we still get the mass global rollout we're hoping for? Maybe the government is dealing with only global orders for antibodies testing, and the testing done over here they will leave to the private companies. I hope this is the case. If so then ODX is still in the running.

@kevmb I'm not here to score political points just thinking out loud, and here to talk about Stock. If you can't have a sensible debate about Stock without hurling abuse, that just shows how ignorant you are. Your not only blocked, but reported as well.

I just don't understand why the government is not investing in large scale antibodies testing. It would solve a lot of problems with people going back to work, and general immunity. I could be wrong but it doesn't look as though the government will be investing in mass scale antibodies testing. Looks like they will be leaving it to the private companies. That's typically how Conservative governments behave. They are obsessed with cutting and penny pinching. Have a look at the below link and let me know your thoughts.

I just have a funny feeling that this POC antibody testing device will be much harder to make, and my guess is they are having difficulty making one that can work as a handheld device. I can see the lab based tests being the way forward for now. Hopefully I'm wrong, and Boris will have some good news. Roll on 7pm.

@Bluemoon73 it would be ODX, as the tests mentioned have been carried out by Manchester and Oxford Universities. Oxford University is part of the UK-RTC. Roche are a Swiss based firm. If the consortium can get things finalised and ramp up production with the help of other manufacturers, I don't think the government will use Roche. But remember this is a global pandemic, so there will plenty of companies the government may use.

@ThePunter1 you obviously haven't been keeping up with things. The UK consortium antibody tests are already up and running, and ODX and partners already have the antibody test CE marked and approved. Just awaiting approval and CE mark for POC home test kit.

@PROP5 well spotted. Here is what the professor said:

Over the next few weeks we will be getting extra NEW data from a very large study that the ONS is doing together with the University of Oxford, and the University of Manchester, which will provide direct community evidence of both the number of people affected at a particular time with the virus, and also the number of people who have had at some stage the virus and also have the antibodies for it.

So antibody testing has already started, which would be the lab based antibody test. The home based POC device must be very near to completion now. We are getting close.

Why would you ring a company to ask them when they are going to make an RNS announcement? That's either lies, or very desperate indeed. On a side note, lots of action on MTFB. Just saw shares rise from .20p to £1 within an hour.

Very strange how in the same week, everyone is announcing they have an antibody test ready for production. Makes this all look a bit suspect. Anyway expect the Americans to make an announcement soon too, that's if they havent already.

@bzn1 ROCHE is a Swiss medical company so I don't think this will affect ODX at all. There will be plenty of countries working on antibody testing kits. This is a global pandemic, one company will not be expected to supply the whole world. I expect to hear more companies coming out of the woodwork this week but ODX testing kit is legit, CE marked, backed by the government, and good to go. ODX will be taking off very shortly. The ditherers will be left behind.

If this antibody test is as accurate as it says on the tin, and if it can tell whether you have it as well as had it, then the antigen test would be fazed out. There would be no need to have an antigen test when an antibodies test does both.This test is a real game changer. As well as being good for ODX, this test will be good for all humankind. The antibodies test couldn't have come sooner enough and will be of great help when we start coming out of lockdown.

Lots of panicking going on. Mologic is working with ODX in getting the tests produced. According to ODX Mologic is the company that has developed the test, and ODX will be manufacturing it at their manufacturing plant in Cambridgeshire.

Omega's latest RNA:

Omega (AIM: ODX), the medical diagnostics company focused on CD4, infectious diseases, food intolerance and allergy
testing, announces that it has signed a Material Transfer Agreement (“MTA”) with Mologic Ltd (“Mologic”) to formalise
a partnership to provide manufacturing capability for Mologic’s COVID-19 first generation ELISA1 diagnostics test.

Omega has provided Mologic with access to one of its manufacturing facilities(which specialises in manufacturing ELISA
tests), situated in Littleport, Cambridgeshire, England and both parties have collaborated to produce pilot batches and
first validation batches.

The MTA formalises Omega’s access to raw materials and know-how to manufacture Mologic’s diagnostic test at scale,
using Omega’s ELISA manufacturing facility in Littleport. Following successful independent validation of Mologic’s ELISA test by the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and St George’s, University of London, Mologic has now submitted its test to Public Health England and NHS Scotland for formal validation. Once validated, Omega and Mologic will enter into a longer-term supply agreement with Omega manufacturing up to 46,000 COVID-19 tests per day.

Omega will also CE Mark the test (This was done on the 27th April) under the MTA, after which both parties will work together to commercialise the test.

The arrangement with Mologic is separate from, and additional to, the announcement made by the Company on 9 April
2020 relating to the UK Rapid Test Consortium (RTC), which is to jointly develop and manufacture a Point-of-care
COVID-19 lateral flow antibody test which could be used ‘at-home’ and which will be manufactured in Omega’s Alva
facility in Scotland. (So as you can see this is s joint venture, with Omaga manufacturing the pilot batches in Cambridgeshire, then full scale in both Cambridgeshire and Scotland).

The news on Mologics webpage is a submission to the WHO for CE marking for global production. This is very good news. Looks like next week and the coming weeks we will be hearing some major news. We have lift off.
