Sonnets I read the RNS from top to bottom and I know what I saw. Yes the percentages are old news but it was definitely in the RNA this morning. I am not in any way being pessimistic about this stock, I have invested in it so I want it to do well. I'm just trying to make sense of the news coming out of the company. At times they are not being straight forward and tend to talk in riddles. Either the test has been approved or it has not. I wish they would make their minds up. It gets very frustrating when news or should I say no news is forthcoming regarding the RTC Consortium and the POC home test kit.

EthioEthio I received an RNA alarm first thing in the morning at 8am. When I read it there was info on the POC home test kit. They said it had been approved by WHO. They also quoted the specificity and sensitivity of the test. But half hour later when I read the RNA again I could see no mention of the WHO approval or the specificity of the test.

The good news is that ODX has signed a new 3 year contract with Mologic to distribute COVID 19 antibody and antigen tests around the globe. More good news is that they are currently negotiating with fifteen other countries. This is all very good news. But the bad news is that they may not be supplying the UK market. I say may not because no one is sure about the RTC Consortium. As I said earlier, I read the RNA first thing this morning and they said that the POC home test kit had received approval from the WHO. It also said that the spec of the test was 97% with sensitvity of 98%. Since then the RNS has changed and this quote has been deleted out of the RNA. This has led me to believe that ODX will not be supplying the UK market, but dont quote me as I could be wrong. Totally unacceptable that they have changed the text of the RNA.

I got an alert first thing this morning, and I am absolutely sure the text said that they had achieved design freeze according to WHO spec. They even quoted the spec which was in line with WHO but not up to PHE standard. Now after reading the RNS a second time I do not see any mention of the World Health Organisation nor the spec of the tests. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Looks like the text of the RNS has changed. so there is no design freeze yet by the look of things. False alarm, it looks like they are still working on the UK test.

Pilgrim1 when I asked for one's thought's I expected something a bit more constructive than that. Why don't you just elaborate on what you think of the latest RNS from Omega instead of just disagreeing. Why do you disagree? Do you know something we don't? The RNS is there in black & white.

Another RNS this morning. Good and bad news rolled into one. Be interesting to hear others thoughts.

Even if the virus disappears tomorrow, the work done on testing cannot just grind to a halt. This pandemic might be slowing down but it is far from gone. The work being done by the Consortium has to continue. People will still want to know whether they had it or not, and we could easily get a second wave in the autumn and winter months. The govt would be foolish to pull the plug on the research being done, and I don't expect them to. But you just can never tell what Boris and this Cons govt will do. They will do anything to save money.

kevin0541 - Thats an insightful article. Looks like they are also creating an app which will link with the NHS, so that results are updated on the NHS database. This may be why it's taking so long, a lot of work involved, as well as getting the test accurate. This will be the test that the whole UK will be using. The consortium will be tying up the UK market, they wont even need to supply globally, as the UK market alone would be huge. Design freeze any time now. Good post.

Why don't you go on the Daily Mail or Telegraph if you want to spout your political nonsense. I came here to take my mind off it and discuss this Stock, but instead we have people wrapped up in their feelings infecting this forum. Fgs get lost.

Too many people using this forum as some sort of platform to spout there political opinions. Stick to shares, less complicated, and furthermore, no one cares about your political opinions, that's certainly not what I'm here for.

eva20 that all depends on whether it was a formal agreement or written agreement. But it's looking like the agreement may be extended for much longer, as the consortium are very close to finalising the production of a valid test requested in the agreement. The test is days or maybe weeks away from design freeze. Once we have design freeze, production starts. Good times ahead for ODX, the Consortium, and the general British public.

Groover - I'm with you on that one. I just can't understand how someone could take time out of their day to comment on here constantly, when they haven't got a penny invested in this stock. They come on here just to make political statements when no one actually gives a s.. Most people just want to hear news on this stock, not one's political opinion. These kind of trolls are downright pathetic. Probably they have no one to talk, or more to the point, no one who will actually listen to their outright drivel.

Couple of months back Mologic and ODX announced that they had the antibodies test done and dusted ready for production, only for the test to fail to get approval from PHE. That was a real setback for the Consortium and shareholders. A lot of Shareholders flapped and sold. Then the Govt threw a real curve ball in the mix and brought in Roche, which has caused more confusion and disillusionment. Would have preferred to have got this latest RNA after the test is approved, after what happened last time. Let's hope they've got it right this time otherwise this latest RNA is pointless.

My honest opinion is the POC wont be ready for now. Bear in mind though that ODX labs have been ramped up to produce thousands of results from antibody testing. My guess is the test kits will be bought from ROCHE but the results will be analyzed and produced by ODX. Either way the consortium will be involved. Roche wont be able to produce results for 80 million people all on their own, and the govt wouldn't have ODX ramp up their sites for nothing.

Cooncan - . The Cons had no choice, don't make it sound like they've done us a favour. If they had locked down without furloughing staff, tens of thousands would have lost their jobs which would have been far worse for the economy. These people have paid millions in tax and bailed out the govt during the last crash in 2008. The least the govt can do is help them out during this pandemic, they are doing us no favours. But they can't pay wages forever which is part of the reason why they are easing lockdown now. I've lived under a Labour govt and a Cons govt. Labour govts have always been accused of over spending, while Cons are accused of under spending. Neither have the ability to find the right balance. But I dont want to get bogged down in the politics, I'm really here to discuss shares. Hopefully ODX will get this rapid test approved, but as each day passes with no RNA, you have to question can our scientists really be the first in the world to make a reliable rapid covid 19 home test kit? It's not easy, but we hope so.
