I hope I'm wrong, but it's possible that the placing was done to recover the money spent on expanding manufacturing capabilities for the RTC agreement? If the POC doesn't get approved by PHE, Mologic and ODX will still be able to manufacture the POC tests abroad. Remember the POC test has already been CE marked so it can be manufactured straight away. The six million dollar question now is, which markets abroad will they be able to snap up. It's been over three months that Covid 19 has been with us and to date they have only one contract with Senegal. Will be interesting to see where else they will sell. They'd better hurry up and get their fingers out.

Merchantbanker - The RTC was set up to produce a lateral flow antibody test which could be done at home, and which could be mass distributed to the public. Not because available antibodies tests were unfit for purpose.

Novacyt actually started rolling out Antigen tests when they won the UK contract on the 27th April, not back in January.

Pilgrim1 you asked me for the companies that are cleaning up the UK market and I gave you the answer. You then say 'The tests they are using are not even accurate enough',. What type of response is that? The point is these companies have the contract from the govt yet your saying they don't. I told you already I deal with facts. Come back and talk when your ready to do the same.

Pilgrim1 Why haven't the government used the RTC to conduct basic Antigen tests? Instead they used Novacyt and Avacta. For antibodies testing they are using ROCHE and ABBOT, who are currently cleaning up the UK market, and I suspect they will continue to do so in the coming months. Please explain fella?

I assume most people come on these chat forums to get good honest opinions of the stock they're invested in. I think that's what Dibs61 has given me this morning and I appreciate it, a balanced view of the stock both positives and negatives. But there are those that don't appreciate these views for some reason and tend to call it deramping (a word I still cannot find in the dictionary). I can only assume these shareholders have bought in at a high price and cannot handle any negative comments made on the stock. I bought in the 20s and topped up in the 50s so for anyone saying I'm 'deramping', that's just not true.

The presentation this morning has both positive and negative information. The problem I have with ODX is that they've spent far too long trying to get the POC test approved by PHE, during which time other companies have their tests already on the market and have made lots of profit already. The presentation this morning says we will get design freeze by the end of the month which I have no doubt, but this doesn't mean the test will get approval from PHE. The tests mentioned will not go into production until late August September, by which time there will be far less COVID 19 cases, and the big players will have already cleaned up the market. It's just one delay after another. This stock no doubt will do well in the long term, but as I am in it for the short haul I will be bailing out on the next bounce. I think Dibs61 is spot on with their analysis of this morning's presentation. To get a more accurate picture of how far ODX can go, we will have to watch closely what plans Mologic and the other members of the consortium have in mind for the future.

I had this problem last week where I kept getting an error everytime I tried to buy/sell shares, I use Google Chrome. Two ways around this, either use a different browser (IE worked for me) or go into the settings of Google Chrome and reset the browser to defaults.

New MTA covering additional Mologic COVID-19 tests

In addition, Omega announces it has widened its collaboration with Mologic by signing another Material Transfer Agreement ("MTA"), providing the Company with access to raw materials and know-how to manufacture the following additional Mologic COVID-19 tests:

· an ELISA antigen test that determines the concentration of COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) antigens in human blood, saliva or swab extract sample thereby identifying an individual with an active COVID-19 infection

· a lateral flow antigen test product that determines the concentration of COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) antigens in a human blood, saliva, or swab extract sample also used to identify an individual with an infection

· a lateral flow antibody test product that determines the concentration of human antibodies in a human blood sample specifically targeting the COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) antigens

Omega is now involved with five opportunities relating to COVID-19 testing, of which four utilise Mologic's technology platforms, including the COVID-19 ELISA which the Company is already shipping. Two are ELISA (lab based) tests, both antigen and antibody, and three are lateral flow tests. Two of the lateral flow tests are in collaboration with Mologic and the third is an antibody test with UK Rapid Test Consortium as originally announced on 9 April 2020.

Lateral flow (POC) antigen, and antibodies test are huge game changers, and will help get the economy back on it's feet and reopen schools.. The last sentence is the most powerful. Surely DF next week.

There are currently patients in the hospital setting that was dosed a couple of months ago. Feedback from those tests are due anytime now. The fact that the tests has been expanded to the home setting, and now nationally tells me only one thing, that the results are positive. The fact that it's already being used by the NHS is another big plus. This is looking good for SNG and the fight against Covid 19.

Last week Matt Han**** said 80% of people who were infected with Covid 19 were asymptomatic. This means 80% of virus sufferers are walking around unknowingly spreading the virus. These are shocking statistics. The only way out of this mess is mass testing. The sooner we can get these home test kits on the market the better.

Mr.B - For there to be a second wave there has to be a significant decrease in the first wave. There has been no decrease in the US so I think you'll find those numbers your talking about is still part of the the first wave. Doh.

Listen, there will not be a second wave ever, at least not in the numbers we had after the first wave. Don't believe the doom and gloom merchants. It is not logically possible, for the simple fact that people are now aware how this virus is spread and are taking precautions by keeping their distance, and where this is not possible, wearing PPE. They should stop giving these doom and gloom merchants air time, they thrive off spreading fear. I challenge anyone to prove me wrong, THERE WILL NOT BE A SECOND WAVE, and if there is it won't be worth talking about.

What a dumb comment to make. You call 40,000 deaths in UK and 110,000 deaths in US in just over a month (which is just for starters), a bad flu season? You really are thick. The numbers are low now because we locked down. If the government was to treat this pandemic as just a 'bad flu' COVID 19 would kill a lot more people than flu, cancer, and the rest put together. You have now been officially crowned Turkey of the Day.

The Consortium are tweaking systems as we speak, making sure antibody tests are updating NHSX sytems properly, making sure results are properly bar coded and integrating with mobile apps etc etc. Wont be long now.
