Sorry in advance. I am not a regular poster but the sun has gone here and I feel the need to moan.
I have been stewing on the press release of 1.07.2021 in which DB said (in respect of the PoC machine) he was "pleased with the progress made in the past 9 months". This of course implies lack of progress in the previous 17 months, or maybe some progress but nothing to be 'pleased' about.
Genedrive is literally the identity of the company and it seems unbelievable to me that development of the Genedrive machine for Covid testing was not pursued from the off. I know, they were concentrating on their gold standard PCR but surely they could have worked on both. The Genedrive unit is, as one poster (Tecknik) once described it last year, a really cool machine. Cool enough for the US DoD to order several. I know the Genedrive machine is not intended for mass testing but there are plenty of applications for small scale accurate testing and in each case there would be sale of machine(s) plus consumables. Sales. To say nothing of the benefits to public health.
I think we must surely be getting to the end of the news blackout. Thanks for those last posts and links which made me feel more optimistic! The price drop today means that I could now average down, marginally :D
Good Luck All.
welcome, a quiet board for quiet people :D
I think he answered the question BB - the cost of fuel cells and the weight and cost of batteries make H2 engines the best option. It is a bonus that he can also stay in control of the manufacturing. We just need clean H2 infrastructure. IProvided by ITM hopefully, not Siemens.
Apologies if you’ve seen this on hydrogen engines but worth a watch…

BB, it was not a big secret - there was a discussion on this board at the time about selling TILS and buying TLSA. Of course this does not change the total number of Accustem shares issued because ADRs are just representative of a proportion of TILS shares held by a bank in the US. It did give people a chance to manoeuvre to get a bigger chunk however. GC and the BoD would not be able to take advantage not least because of the reputational damage but also because they would probably be prosecuted insider dealing! There is no doubt the demerger was not handled well but it resulted from NASDAQ rules and must be the case that the BoD relied on outside expertise so they cannot be blamed entirely for the f-up.
All IMO.
I hope all Accustem can now be consigned to the Telegram board so we can concentrate on TILS.
Good Luck All,

Well, I wasn't pumping and I wont be dumping. Little spikes make no difference to LTHs.
We will see. Its not always good for TILS when the US opens. Fingers cross. GLA
Lol - I read my own post and was persuaded to top up!
Spot on Iceman. Also worth pointing out that GC’s buys were after the de-merger and he sold non before when the price took him above his target half $billion value for the company because his faith is in Forumalab. Also we are now main market. There are very few shares where the interests of shareholders are aligned with the interests of the main man.
The recent falls across majority of small growth shares have been caused by inflation and interest rate fears which have not gone away. I think when/if Accustem floats confidence in the BoD will be restored. Until then TILS may drift lower, or not, who knows. It could also bounce at anytime. Best, Mike
I have only a small LT holding here but fwiw I’m not surprise by the magnetic attraction toward placing price. It happens a lot. This is an unusual situation however and the govt is desperate to give the appearance of doing something so I wouldn’t be surprised if they do fund home antibody tests. Boris and Prof CW both said months ago that antibody testing could be a game changer. There are now doubts about the immunity benefits (which is what I think they were referring to) but it would still provide data on the prevalence of Covid in the population and data is the life blood of public health research. This view is shared by my partner who is a public health researcher and seemingly good at predicting what govt will do next.
IMHO and DYOR.
managed to miss the first part of Matt Han****'s briefing but have just been told the govt is backing Optigene isothermal LAMP machine for antigen testing? Looks like a portable point of care device. Maybe he mentioned the name because is not a listed company. Hopefully he will mention GDR tomorrow...
So probably this story relates to antigen testing rather than antibody but it doesn’t look good for Abbott does it.

@technik nice post thank you. V helpful. I’ve been in GDR for years (invested in epistem) but don’t have benefit of scientific background. My view for what it’s worth is that whatever the competition, GDR will be good in medium term selling Covid tests outside of UK and in the long term with many other applications for its technology. Won’t be selling just yet.
Badly advised by AJB. Was told it did not matter that my GDR shares were held with a different broker (who was not dealing with the placing). Seems it did matter however because they have cancelled my order and I have not received placing shares. Lesson learned, again.
