Huge, I have to admit I had not heard of Newmont, Newcrest or even Barrick ( the largest Gold Mining Company in the world ) but have heard of Rio Tinto long before any investment interest.

They are a mining company and they are already there and set up, they must be in the running, just need the g/t to be commercial.

This company was actually mentioned by the interviewer, Andrew I think, on one of the proactive investor interviews, he made quite a point about the positioning to Gervaise so I looked up the borders and Rio Tinto are surrounded by GGP license, totally hemmed in. My point is, any mineralisation, be it gold or copper or even oil will not stop in a straight line just because its drawn on a surface map therefore if Rio Tinto are mining in that area my guess is the gold will exist along the borders and beyond, not stop in a straight invisible line. I know what I mean anyhow!

I hear what you say about Newcrest but don't underestimate Rio Tinto. They are sandwiched between North and South of GGP license, bang in the middle and actually make up the border, they are a multi muli billion pound company and have all the infrastructure in place, roads, equipment, processing plant etc.

$100 per oz it would give $1bn. With 3bn shares in issue a simple calc would give 33 cents per share ( $1bn divided by 3 bn ). Thats in answer to the question, not sure you would get $100 an oz unless it was at or near surface reducing extracting costs to a minimum. However, gold is looking good at $1350 oz or thereabouts, so quite some leeway for good profit per oz, good mining company should be able to see $500 per oz profit so 10moz would give them $5bn ( the miners not exploration company). Personally think we would get between $30 and $50 per oz, a bit more realistic but above all else a deal from any license is whats needed to get the ball rolling.

My belief is that when Newmont based staff in Australia went to the Newmont board Headquarters in the USA they were told we are fully pledged for this years projects or words to that effect. You could be correct but so could I. GH also could have said that what was proposed was not acceptable to GGP, i.e Newmont could have put in a derogatory offer which GH thought was borderline insulting. Newmont in Australia did say to GH you will be pleasantly surprised or pleased I am going from memory so it does not sound like a comment you would make if it was a total washout. Just think by the time they got down to it that Newmont were committed to the years planned works, I really believe that. I do however think GH will consider another major ahead of Newmont and my guess is Rio Tinto would be favourites as we sandwich them border wise from both the North and South from where they are currently mining with all the plant equipment / set up etc.

Everyone is faceless and quite simply I don't let any poster affect my own investment strategy. The share will either come good or not irrespective of posters, rampers / de-rampers alike. It won't change what is in the ground.

ChazC, genuine question, what are your thoughts regarding do you think RBD will be a success from a viewpoint of all the assets lined up. Obviously we don't know the deals that will be added from the �9m cash pot so can discount that.

Agree Boom and the simple reason the sp cannot stay at this level is our MarCap is only �20m, with all the drills and new deals MarCap would have to stay at �20m for sp to stay at this price, NAV possibly several hundred million very soon. atb

A MarCap of �300m would give an sp of 10.4p if share issue remains the same and with all the drills lined up and new deals that should be made with the �9m cash in the bank it really is a possibility. All the ducks lining up including oil pushing towards $80 and gas in as much demand now as oil if that 33bcf can get upgraded to 300bcf we are sitting on many multiples from here.

A resource to rival Kalgoorie, that would be nice! For me we are talking high grades and that is very welcome at Black Hills especially when GH acquired it for 25k Australian Dollars plus share issue but to answer the question what could make this turn would be a JORC or equivalent plain and simple. We need to be able to go to a major and say here is provenance that this prospect contains 8m oz's or whatever. High grades and near surface are great but not if there is only a total of a few thousand oz's or more importantly nothing to back up the volume. That would de-risk it completely and make a JV / Buyout highly likely.

GH did state they are targeting multiple zones of 5m oz+ and with grades as high as this and the strike length 4km on one prospect then it is not inconceivable we could be within touching distance of that. Just one buyout / JV could push the sp to double figures.

Just re -read RNS and 50 g/t are quoted in 2 different prospects Saddle Reef 55.6 g/t and Rogers and Northern Granites 50.2 g/t it looks as though it high gold grades are covering a large area with 20 g't cropping up more than once also. Not sure this RNS has sunk in yet as to what GH may have found.

Even if sp retraces and it doesn't matter one jot in the bigger picture. There is gol and better than expected grades ( understatement ) so we are just at the start of now several licenses which could all be sought after by majors. Still a little way to go and mm's know that but if we can off load just one or JV then game changing, simple. Holding long.

those grades of g/t and at or near surface are fantastically high, when you think 1 g/t can be commercially viable even at depth in sufficient quantities then the likes of 9 g/t, 20 g/t and 50 g/t, all quoted and even sporadic, could be game changing for GGP. With EG, Panorama, Havieron, FireTower, Warrantinna still to come.

Exactly as we were all waiting for Havieron drill results this has wrong footed an awful lot of people. So Haveieron should give this some solid base if that comes in good as well.
