Nope, I’d rather not buy at all until next update if there’s some good news. If you invested 1 year ago where would you be now? 6 months ago? Still in the red. In that time you could of put into s&p 500 and get 15 percent or more
It has though, I agree 3.5bn sales isnt a small amount. Still a shame they can turn much of that into a profit. Why do you think the share price is on its knees? There’s a time when have to cut ties, sorry you’ve been holding bags for so long.
My point was that, the sizing varies so much from brand to brand, people order several items and just send stuff back cause they can, and for free! Im hoping for good results but expecting it to be terrible. Thing is when asos was at ath, it was revolutionary, no one else was doing it, not every man and his dog are selling clothes online, including shops on Instagram, thg, vinted, boo, shein just to name a few. Good luck, don’t let the bags cut your blood supply off
Did some shopping on asos yesterday due to the 20% off. 70 % of the items are all sold out in normal sizes. 20% off when margins are incredibly tight is a recipe for disaster. This is the only time I shop at asos when there’s a code on, I’ve ordered 3 items but will more than likely send 1-2 of them back as I’m inbeteeen sizing. The model as a whole doesn’t work, there’s too much competition now. Lots of folk I know use vinted for cheap clothes. Asos has had its day. No doubt the price will see swings on macro events but as a whole I don’t think we can expect to be seeing £10+ again. Hope I’m wrong as I’ve been in and out of this more times than anyone. But for now I’m out and putting my money into jd which is a excellent buisness than makes real profits
Asos is one to trade and not Lth for sure. The comments about the bod not buying has got me wondering that these results are going to be poor. JD dropped hard recently and lots of inside buying has been going out. I’m out of here for one last time, I’m only buying in if we hit the 350s again for a quick trade, if not I’ll be tempted if the results are good. Unlikely though, this stock really is a dog.
Price took a dive, dropped below the 370s, we need to nail this next update in March, hopefully Jose has managed to streamline the buisness, if it’s poor I don’t know where the price will end up. But I think it should fly if things are positive
Hard to say no at these prices. This stock keeps pulling me in, I only posted not so long back saying im totally out. I’ve been in and out since a few times in the 370s. Took a big position today, not sure whether to trade it for a 3-4 percent win or wait for 420 level again. Either way st these prices there’s more potential for up side than the down. Gla
Going to get out fully when I can on this junk stock! Ive always kept a small holding, and played with a bit too thankfully, and always managed to average down! I’ve had enough of it now and going to go into jd for a good value retail stock that’s profitable. I ordered more clothes off asos over the weekend, both items fit horribly so again will have to return, this is no way to run a good buisness.
GLA I’d love to see this up at £10 again but I’m loosing hope!
Don’t think anyone really predicted a drop this big, sold half my holding at even 420p so mad that I didn’t bin it all. Anyway back in with the other half at 377 to see my average just below 400. Will top up more if it goes below 370 but I really can’t see that happening?? We have bounced off 370 a lot of times now.
Also took a bite of jd this morning too, thankfully got stopped out of my previous holding at 170 there, not sure what to expect with that one either short term. 20 percent is a wild drop in one day.
Cmon asos pull yourself together
General observations I’ve made over the Christmas period
1. So many items are out of stock, I set a notification when it returns but they all immediately sell out. Surely this is positive.
2. I did manage to order a few cheaper items. 1 of the items was only 9 quid and I had to send it back as it didn’t fit. I’ve had to do this a few times now, a buisness cannot operate like this, let hope people keep more than they send back. I really think they need to increase postage costs to stop people ordering loads and just sending back whatever they don’t like.
420s are holding a steady resistance, but I think we’ll drift in this channel from 420s to 440s until the next update
4. If the next update isn’t strong I think the sp is dead for a long time
Agreed. With the negative postings from Nike, I think we’re going to bounce off 400 again soon enough.
We’ve been in this sitauation many times up at 440 only to come back down to the 300s again. Sold up for now going to get back in when it drops some now
In all the time I’ve been on lse I’ve never seen anything so ridiculous in my life.
Also we have heard of google translate!
Have a good day, GLA
Bullish sentiment over the pond, reckon it could get us over 400 tomorrow?
I’m really looking forward to this finding its feet again, when it moves it really does move and I think we are all prepared for it now. Last year it went from 500-1000 in no time, serious money to be made when it takes off
Me too!
Just bought 8ks at 387, if it drops to 372 again I’ll buy very heavy. Long term hold or short term this is one of the easiest swings on the market, so predictable. I’ll sell 80 percent at 405 ish and keep the rest. Been in asos for a few years new, managed to average down to 400, and fully sold out for the first time last week. Didn’t take me long to get back in haha
Thanks lee for your insight. I am here like you for the long term, albeit with a lot smaller holding than yourself at 350k shares, I will proceed to buy the dips. It does seem Darren seems a great ceo with a vision than will take mtl far into the future. Let’s hope we can generate some more interest moving forward in the short term as I think mtl is a little over looked right now. Eagerly waiting for januarys results!
GLA!
What’s the new on dividends? I’m relatively new here to Mtl. If we can get out of debt I’m sure that will give us another boost
Madness what’s happening to this share price.
I expected a good bounce off 0.4s, now it’s staying below this has a lot futher to go imo
Been dabbling into MTL while this takes a beating, tjere financials are solid and expecting good results posted in January with gold been priced so high. The ceo has also taken his bonus as shares which I think speaks volumes.
Hopefully I can cash out of that end of january and come back to Kod, deserves to be way higher right now
No plug, I’ve always appreciated advice from others about potential stocks to move onto, it’s how I got into rolls from another board.
Ignore me I’m really not fussed, for now let’s keep rolls moving up!
From the MTL.L board:
' Still a lot of land to mine, and their recovery rate for gold extraction had improved recently which helped their overall yields and will keep giving additional gains on top of the price of gold.
Financials are excellent, and even directors seem to take shares rather than cash from their in the know position. One can only wonder why.'
Will have a look - thanks for sharing.
No problem. I’m in with a small position currently, but keep topping up on the dips. I think I’m going to start taking profits off RR and move into MTL when we get to 320s which I predict won’t be too far away.
When MTL go debt free and post results I really think it could soar, profits will be at an all time high, everything looks good so far for a decent rise in the sp

The low 3s do have some resistance previously seen but I think If we can break that next stop should be 5p! Cmon MTL, I’m in rolls Royce for a decent amount but going yo start taking profits and moving it over to Mtl
Fills me with joy to see so many people earning some serious money off this. I’ve been in with small amounts since 80p but recently invested heavily from low 200s.
If RR runs out of steam I’ve been looking at MTL.L. There a mining company, main income is a large gold mine in the Philippines. They’re due to go debt free in the next few months, along with the rising gold should be a big catalyst to double in q1 and 2 of 24. More important the CEO has just taken his bonus in the form of shares. Really well company. Stockpedia rate them very highly too, got some nice momentum going currently.
