Re reading the S&P Harbour/Cooke article from a month ago.....to cheer myself up on a damp Sat morning 'International opportunities'The international component of Harbour's portfolio derives from Premier, which had production offshore Indonesia and Vietnam and participated in the Mexican Zama discovery, estimated at up to 1 billion barrels. Premier also brought a 60% stake in Sea Lion, which was first discovered by Rockhopper Exploration in 2010 and holds an estimated 1.7 billion barrels of oil "in place." Sea Lion is viewed as challenging partly due to its remoteness from the industry's supply chain and due to political sensitivities around the Falkland Islands, which are claimed by Argentina. On the outlook for Zama and Sea Lion, Cook said: "We're going to take our time to really understand those two big projects, get our minds around what updated capex estimates might be after we've gone through this year of COVID -- we want to make sure we have refreshed estimates."https://www.spglobal.com/platts/en/market-insights/latest-news/natural-gas/040121-uk-newcomer-harbour-energy-seeks-out-of-region-oil-and-gas-acquisitions
"Goldman Sachs continues to see oil rising to $80 per barrel this summer and says that “The magnitude of the coming change in the volume of demand -- a change which supply cannot match -- must not be understated,” as carried by FXStreet."
Goldman Sachs expects global oil demand to realize the biggest jump ever over the next six months, the investment bank said on Wednesday, keeping its bullish forecasts for oil prices this summer.
I agree Vascular, money doesn't seem to be a problem, but it's been plagued by false alarms and limited tech.
There's a 1000 personnel that collect the filters/cartridges from subways and mailroom s etc each day and send them off to be tested, it's a very labour intensive and error prone system.
Kromek's detection units are autonomous and networked with very low false + errors .
That's only half the states covered to, by the program running some 18 years I believe.
"The program, which has cost taxpayers more than $1.6 billion, was launched two years after letters laced with anthrax spores killed five people and sickened 17 others shortly after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. BioWatch became part of Homeland Security’s Office of Health Affairs in 2007."

Well as far as I can work out...
Kromek are working (2 + years) with Earlham Institute to develop thier novel 'realtime' patho detector.
Earlham have been working with Nanopore technology by Oxford Nanopore the very latest generation of DNA rapid sequencing for 3 + years.
As far as I'm aware..No other airborne detection system are, and Kromek have a 2 1/2 head start.
I think rear Gunner was just being a bit trigger happy... But we should know more very soon.

"The outputs of the project will be particularly relevant to environmental applications (e.g. pathogen identification, in-field species identification) and to clinical applications (e.g. pathogen identification, antimicrobial resistance identification). A drive to ensure an open platform will enable its adaptation and extension beyond the original vision."

"Offshore project commitments count set for record in coming years, deepwater to have top growth
March 3, 2021
Offshore project commitments are expected to not only recover going forward, but their number is also set to reach a new record in the five-year period towards 2025, cumulatively almost 600 projects, a Rystad Energy report shows. Deepwater commitments will enjoy the largest growth as their cost has now become much more competitive against greenfield continental shelf reserves."
New role advertised..
"Comms & Bid Manager"
Head Office, Sedgefield – UK | Closing date: 26/03/2021
As part of continued strategic growth Kromek is looking for a Comms & Bid Manager to join the Innovation Department and work alongside the growing Biotechnology group. The Comms & Bid Manager will work as part of the existing team, supporting the Head of Biotechnology, and liaising with external partners and subject matter experts. There are significant new product and market opportunities for this disruptive technology product. The role would be shaping and moulding the future applications of airborne pathogen detection technology, in a post pandemic world. A key part of the role will be identifying opportunities for new products and technologies and creating funding proposals to aid the development of such products.

"Premier and Chrysaor said in December that Harbour would be a “highly cash-generative” business, producing more than 200,000 barrels of oil equivalent a day and with “significant” potential for international growth. While Premier’s business is weighted toward the North Sea, it also has assets in Asia and Latin America and has been working to get a project off the ground in the Falklands."
Interesting article in the Telegraph today...
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2021/02/17/peak-oil-demand-coming-first-brace-almighty-supply-crunch/
"Goldman Sachs estimates that 9m to 10m barrels a day of future supply have vanished. That is a tenth of the world’s 100m barrels a day production. Remember that a swing of just 1m either way in normal times can flip the market from slump to price spike. Short-term demand is inelastic."
This was the last interview with Equity on the 16th Jan and Arnab mentions 6-7 mins in that the New Bio Dection Unit will be ready for Piloting from March onwards....I think we'll hear about it when it starts...not long to wait now..

The UK leads the world in Virus sequencing volumes and my understanding is each country adds a new/novel Covid variant to the global database when discovered
This will then be added to Kromek's library to flag up when found in a networking system much like how the D3 radiation detectors operate.
It could well be that a Kromek bio detection unit will be the first frontline warning for a country that a mutanted virus has arrived.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2020/12/23/us-leads-world-coronavirus-cases-ranks-43rd-sequencing-check-variants/
“It makes sense that it was detected first in the U.K. because they have probably the world’s best surveillance program,” Angela Rasmussen, a virologist at the Georgetown Center for Global Health Science and Security, told The Washington Post.
You're not the only one by far 'Viable' it's a lot to get your head round and as these different technologies and processes haven't been combined before, Napore and Lab on a chip science is advancing at a rapid pace...but all the pieces of the jigsaw are present...and fully functional.
This article a year out of date covers Lab on a chip and micro fluid handling quite well I think.
- the final part after the samples are processed through a Naopore'
https://www.bioanalysis-zone.com/lab-chip-technology_loc/
That's my understanding anyway from what's been released by Kromek, Earlham etc
Re-reading the JP article again to remind myself..
They penciled in 2022 some time for Brent to reach 60 dollars....less than 6 weeks into 2021 and here it is....
"The current situation is fundamentally no different, according to JP Morgan's analyst, who expects the oil market to swing into a deficit sometime in 2022, which would push Brent to $60. This, in turn, will motivate producers to start pumping more crude. The deficit, Malek estimates, could reach 6.8 million bpd by 2025. This is what could cause prices to climb to $100 or more."
Kromek....HIRING. Again..!!!
.....Just..to cheer up Skid.....
