Tommy, quite apparent that this (COPD) was pushed to one side back then to jump aboard the Covid train.
Unfortunately we never moved quick enough during those 2 years imo as far as Covid goes, everything seemed
to take an eternity.
Basically put all their eggs in one basket then, when all along the results for the COPD trial could have been read and announced well before now.
Manifesto, I remember checking every morning for weeks for the Sprinter results. As it turned out I wish that day hadn't come. Still in disbelief today. Let's hope the next Rns is more positive, but it is not a given by any means.
When I read it again it did seem pretty pointless. As stated earlier we already knew it was paused awaiting some kind of trial redesign in the future. I really don’t understand what they were trying to achieve today with this, especially when we were always led to believe previously, that they only put out an RNS when they had something to say, which was usually few and far between. My confidence in this lot is diminishing fast. Hope I’m wrong.
As an interested bystander thinking about an investment here. Why are they unloved as you say ?
I have read a lot of complaints regarding lack of communication from the BOD etc, but surely there must be more to it than that.
Devastating news. So very very sad. Vince has been the flagship of this company, backed by his fantastic enthusiasm and his own money. If any person deserved to see this through to the end it was him. Such a charismatic devoted man. Will be sorely missed, so cruel. RIP Vincent.
Agreed. On reflection of holding this share for 2 years, I am certainly more receptive now to some comments on here regarding the inefficiency of the board I placed my faith in. We shall see what unfolds, but I am not holding my breath.
Agree I have written this off now, no point me selling here. So if anything comes from this it will be a bonus.
I can't believe after what seems like being on a roller coaster for 2 years ended so abruptly, and left in utter shock
and dismay. For me it isn't the actual loss of my investment that hurts, it is more what I was hoping to make and getting so close to achieving that, that is more painful.
I don't really want to throw mud at this stage, but my one big frustration here was the amount of time it took from the phase 11 results back in July 2020. I think any big Pharma would have had this done and dusted long before now.
whether they would have had more successful results, I don't know.
Gordon, I bought 4 tranches today about 10k's worth, everyone showing as a sell. so I wouldn't think those figures are accurate.
Thanks for the update. Based on some of those figures Piedmont certainly got a good deal for their 50%. Was it around £ 75 million. I know needs must and all that but wonder what we would want for the other 50%.
I think it is quite obvious that Aim is a waste of time unless you have the herds following you. The likes of Premier, Eurasia to name but 2 have had massive spikes over a period of time based on nothing but fanatical speculation. But because there are enough people there buying one day selling the next, then repeat etc etc they seem to be the kind of companies that punters want to follow. It is so very frustrating to become accustomed to knowing that whatever very positive news is announced you just know it won’t matter one bit. Great RNS disappointing reaction.
All to familiar.
