I always show my cards and people don't always believe. Even when I'm day trading shares ---which are normally companies about to go under and are being ramped for no particular reason I will still give my real opinion. Take Fitbug...a pathetic company about to go bust....I bought I think about £5k worth and pretty much doubled in a day on rampers nonsense...yet all along I gave the statements of how bad the company was even though I had £5k worth of shares...everybody was saying " Oh your deramping and want the share to drop so you can buy in cheap " I was like no really this company is crap and they will tank very soon.....I sold at 100% profit during the day....they did go on to close to 300% gain that same day....but have since dropped over 90% as they are pretty much finished...but I might one day buy if the rampers get it going....and I will still tell them on the BB how crap it is....The rampers make me laugh with the.......This is about to blow.....quick get onboard its about to fly....LOL

So your actually making more than me on the sb....I've probably had larger bets but don't deal on a regular basis like you...do you think you could make a living from it ?

I mainly day trade and spread bet only on my days off and holidays from work...Only when I can be at the screen constant....otherwise I deal the normal buy and hold...though my pension etc is invested in managed funds...which I don't have to constantly watch as most of the time I cant be at the screen all the time,....so I can go weeks without spread betting....I've made as much as £8k in a day but also lost as much as £6k in a day.....These days I am more cautious and will be happy with smaller gains....Today was average...made a grand.....but then the next couple of days I could lose a couple of grand a day....Over 12 months my trades on spreads showed a profit of of £8k on 14 trades as I only use it in this type of situation,,,,when there is a chance of big swings in share price following a share tanking etc....I won on 5 out of 14 trades...I would like to trade sb more but don't always have the time

Keep at it....Sounds like your doing good...Don't get too greedy....With this I could have made £10k if I held my nerve...this morning...but took my gain and made £3k but I lost £2k on another gamble today so I haven't made a huge amount but its a profit and I could have lost up to £10k....so I'm happy...on Monday I bought £4k of the shares and sold for only £400 profit...I could have made £600 more if I held until the following day..so No I'm not perfect at investing..Like I said earlier I doubled my money in Herencia in 1 day...Great...I was overjoyed a few grand in a day....It 10 bagged in 5 days following.....Just be happy with any profit...

Spread betting is probably the highest risk you can get....before it was mainstream I would deal in warrants....I do gamble on shares that tank with sb but normally have a loss limit at never more than £10k.but most cases as low as £5k which as you know can happen in minutes with high pip bets..but its a bit of excitement and fun....

That's fine....apology accepted....You will find I show all my cards...I've made huge gains on some and huge losses on others...As I get older I get more cautious....But I tell my losses as well as my gains...I'm not one to make up crap...I once nearly lost over £6k in less than 30 mins on a gamble..and it made me more cautious

Why the silly comments.......I'm nearly 50.....I've built my portfolio over 30 years. I've until recently gambled up to £20k a time on day trades but now prefer smaller amounts as I've been close to losing vast sums on a few occasions. My spread account holds close to £50k and my day trade account the same...But my SIPP money is held in trusts and funds for the most part....

No if you read my trades it will show I originally bought £4k worth and sold for just over £400 profit after about 90 mins...then I took out a spread position of £1k per 1% with £10k limit.....which one did you think refers to a £100k deal

Well I admit to my mistakes....its nearly 10% down now and I could of made a much bigger profit......like I said earlier I thought it would drop 10% in first hour.....well a profits a profit as they say

No mistake again....Their forecast at best was a loss of £28m a year without apple not £18m a year

Nobody knows what will happen to this. But as you talk about facts....Things that have actually happened....Over the last three years IMG revenues had fallen over 30%, causing their share price to fall 50% over the last couple of years, they have £40m debt, forecast earnings up to 2019 were to show a profit of £20m per year,,,BUT that included Apples £65m a year....without, their revised forecasts were a loss of £18m per year at best...UNLESS something else happens before then....Don't be *****y guys....

I was hoping for a big drop this morning--in the region of 10% so I put a spread bet on it....when it didn't move as fast as I thought I cashed in.....I could have made twice as much now.....typical.....that's my life story....Was overjoyed at herencia doubling in less than a day....sold.....and it ten bagged in less than a week....LOL

Its down 6.25% now but I don't think I'd gamble on spreads or shares in this unless it was to drop to about 70p But I don't think that will happen anytime soon

I don't think TBH there will be a big enough drop to tempt me...But Ill keep an eye on it

Well managed funds and trusts is where most of my investments are. I only day trade a few grand at a time for the fun of it. Its the high risk aim and those that have tanked that I gamble on. This at the minute is probably higher risk than most aim shares
