There is 6 of us, 4 teen girls, that's not cheap, I try and take £30k a year to supplement my income each year, I'm not paid a lot, less than £60k a year, isn't the highest paid job, buy maybe the easiest. Even at my age you are looking at well over £1m to even think of retiring. I don't have a huge amount in listed shares, mainly unlisted. So what age did you retire, what did you make your fortune on? Old.....There are countless opportunities out there to buy into unlisted companies, along with excellent tax incentives. Depending on your investment you can get tax free gains and if written off depending on S status the most you could end up losing is around 20%
