You've hit the nail on the head right there Ian?Paul. Brown have developed/nurtured a nice, loyal, niche with the 'oldies' and 'plus sizes'. It's not a niche really because it's huge - the mature and plus size market is massively uncatered to as many other fashion players and most of the competition, digitally, concentrate on the younger end. However, the more mature audience have a lot more money to spend, are becoming more and more tech savvy and yet have a tendency to remain more brand loyal. I checked out the stats for their various websites a little while ago and their traffic has gone through the roof, which, all things being equal, means only one thing, that sales will have soared. BTW, I do have around 10 years experience in SEO and monetisation of websites selling retail online and so I'm speaking from hard nosed experience on this point. In a nutshell, NBrown have staged a remarkable turnaround to digital, fortuitously right on the crest of a wave due to lockdown and therefore should have great primary mover advantage in consolidating and growing their position into a very profitable enterprise indeed. They know that, hence the current big recruitment drive going on at the moment with page after page of vacancies which need filling. It's not rocket science to know that you hire when you're growing and fire when you're slowing. They are unmistakably growing exponentially. They know it, Schroders know it and anyone on here with a modicum of common sense should know it too and many of you good people do. Best to all.
