We would love to hear your thoughts about our site and services, please take our survey here.
Slean, just had a read of that, it scares the living crap out of me. Everybody should read it and be aware that ALL of our politicians are happy to put us under the control of the EU control freaks. We would have no control of our armed forces or security services. All to be taken over by that disgusting broken dictatorship called the EU. Wonder if the remoaners on this board would be happy with this?
Share price seems to be dropping quite a bit from it's high today.
newboy, Most of the inane ramblings on this board come from just a few people, you seem to be one of the main ones. Some of the others post stuff which could be described as sensible, you unfortuantely post mainly drivel and garbage. Back to your village boy.
To everybody else, great rise in SP today.
Derek, have you read that youtube link yet ? After all he is your hero!
Derek, the link below will take you to a speech in parliament from a decent ex labour MP, Ian Austin. Perhaps you could take the few minutes it runs for to sit and reflect on what he says about your hero corbyn and some of his like minded comrades. None of it is untrue and all of it is related to the actions of the garden gnome.
The link was posted this morning on another board.

Please note that corbyn has not issued any denials..... well he couldn't could he ? So do you have the same views as this creature?
This at 11.30 this morning.
United Utilities, down 2.3%. Royal Bank of Canada cut the stock to Sector Perform from Outperform.
Large drop 2.92% close of business. Could there also be elements of the fears of the corbyn effect?. This company will be one of corbyns targets for grabbing back if he and his cohorts ever get into power. Perish the thought.
Just curious... wonder how many messages are being deleted by the censors on this thread?. I've been using LSE for around 10 years but very rarely post, I value the comments made here, particularly those well thought out ones and even some of the idiotic ones. As a believer in free speech I'm sad to say that this appears not to be a priority to LSE.
Saw this on This is money.
"When British Gas was privatised with a 'Tell Sid' advertising fanfare in 1986, the shares cost £1.35 each and the business was valued at £9billion. Today, Centrica, which owns British Gas, is valued on the stock market at £4.4billion and the shares are 73p."
Seems strange to me that a Conservative government that enticed hundreds of thousands of people to invest in CNA should now actively be battering the share price with their actions. The price has been over £3.50, seems we are all being well and truly shafted.
Just seen this on the BBC, scary!

More bad news on a bad bad day...
Very large drop in share price this morning. Seems Hargreaves Lansdown have today removed LT from their wealth 50 listing.
Details as per HL,
"We have taken the decision to remove the Lindsell Train UK Equity Fund and the Lindsell Train Global Equity Fund from the Wealth 50 list of our favourite funds at the end of the month.
We continue to have high conviction in managers Nick Train, Michael Lindsell and James Bullock and their ability to outperform in the future. This is not a decision based on a change in our view of the managers or a reflection of their performance.
We have policies and procedures to help us manage the Wealth 50 list of favourite funds. As part of this, we keep under review the proportion of Hargreaves Lansdown plc shares owned by a fund, or multiple funds controlled by a single manager, on the Wealth 50. We do this to protect the interests of our clients and shareholders, the independence of our investment process, and the service we provide."
Strange that HL will remove a good one after the debacle of Woodford.
Andyagogo, There was very limited food on the Tenerife flight but it went in the first few minutes. Not a thing in the way of drink for 4.5hrs, not nice. I queried this with the stewardess, her comment was that they sold out on the outbound flight. Can't believe any airline would sell "every drink" on board. Absolutely nothing on the Alicante flight, food or drink. Have a good few shares here, likely to get shut if they come back up a bit. Never actually had any other problems with RYA flights, maybe I've just been very lucky judging by customer reviews !
Flew back from Alicante Sunday, announcement made, no food or drinks available on board. Same happened flying from Tenerife to Manchester in may. Why on earth can they be so disorganised that they simply have nothing for sale onboard, is this carlessness or just contempt for the flying public. I fly very frequently but other than 1 flight booked for July, I won't be using them again. They have also recently increased their prices... a lot... better options available now even if slightly more expensive. With their attitude it's no wonder the share price is so low.
Well this looks like the end of the road ! Copy of email I received today.
"Creditors under credit agreements with Legacy Texas Bank and Melody Business Finance have demanded acceleration of Matra’s US subsidiaries’ obligations and notified these companies that all debt, in total at least USD 73.6 million, is due and immediately payable to the creditors.
The creditors have further requested that collateral for the loans is sold at forelosure sales on July 2, 2019. The collateral includes essentially all Matra Petroleum’s oil and gas assets.
Matra Petroleum’s U.S subsidiaries have not secured refinancing, are considering liquidation options, and will take action in accordance with relevant insolvency legislation in the USA."

Well that looks to be the end of the road. Received an email from Matra this morning, main part as below.

Amers, Showing as a sell.

When I have time later i'll watch both of the vids, have seen about 20 mins and am shocked at how incompetent our negotiations have been. Our only hope now is for a massive vote for Brexit party to at least start to regain our pride.
Boldboy, "I wonder if those hardy folk in Middlesborough and Scunthorpe would have voted leave had they seen this god awful mess arising."
The government would be willing to subsidise British Steel, they have already given loans to greybull. The main problem is that Government are NOT allowed to do any more, Why?, because of the rules of that filthy, disgusting, corrupt mess that is called the EU. Been out to vote for the Brexit party yet?
Good2bhere, have just listened to the brexit debate. Nigel Farage came across as a very sensible and decent individual. The idiot cable just rants on "we must stop brexit", shows how brain dead he is when he just disregards 17.4 million people as an irrelevance to be ignored. He is simply stoking up the possibility of major trouble within this country. Nigel simply spoke sense. Vote Brexit party.
Grayling, don't you remember Clegg fighting against student fees and as soon as he got a sniff of power in the coalition he brought them in?. Students got their revenge on him by voting him out as an MP and the Libdims virtually disappeared from politics. The libdims are not fit for purpose and are standing to subvert a democratic vote by 17.4 million people. Disgusting bunch of hypocrites.
Seiifert, wrong. The fantasists are you and people like you. One day you will grow up and leave your snowflake years behind you. With age comes wisdom and generally common sense along with good manners. Leaving the EU is not delusional, wanting to stay bound to it and stamped all over is insanity. You and your ilk will thank the older generation in years to come for steering this country away from the eventual collapse of the eu and all its consequences.
Now please, educate yourself and grow up.
