Japan's inflation falls to 0.5% in January18 Feb 2022 07:02
Consumer prices in Japan went under analysts' projections in January with the headline index rising by 0.5% on a yearly basis to stand at 100.3, according to a report released by the Statistics Bureau of Japan on Friday. The figure marks a decrease when compared to the December CPI of 0.8%.
The CPI excluding fresh food and energy went down by 1.1% year-on-year, while the same index excluding only fresh food added 0.2% on a yearly basis.
