Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Thursday that the talks with his Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba in Turkey mostly revolved around humanitarian issues, including evacuation corridors.
During a press conference, Lavrov accused the West of spreading false information about Moscow's intervention in Ukraine, adding that the alleged bombing of a maternity hospital in Mariupol was justified by the fact that it was the base of a Ukrainian military unit. Responding to a question regarding the possibility of a ceasefire, Lavrov briefly stated that his delegation "reminded" the other side of Russia's conditions.
Russia's top diplomat also vowed that Moscow will try to decrease the extent of its dependence on the western economies in the future.

Russia's ruling United Party stated on Wednesday that it has proposed a new bill in order to ensure "the socio-economic stability" of the country. Among other suggestions, the proposal focuses on nationalizing foreign property of businesses that decide to leave Russia.
The United Party said that the government commission gave a green light for the proposal of the new bill that would allow for the property of foreign-owned businesses that left the country and are on Russia's blacklist to be ceased by the government. The bill would ensure protection against bankruptcy and job security, the statement read.
Russian President Vladimir Putin previously signed a new legislation package that would counteract the impact of sanctions imposed by the West. The government is yet to specify the exact measures that the package will encompass.
