Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a new decree on Monday ordering the conscription of 133,000 people into military service in the fall of 2024.The document stated that 130,000 Russian citizens between the ages of 18 and 30 who are not already in the reserve will have to be conscripted into military service from October 1 to December 31. By the same decree, Putin dismissed servicemen from the military whose term of conscription had expired. According to the General Staff, the new conscripts will not participate in Russia's special military operations.Earlier in September, the Russian president signed another decree expanding the Russian Armed Forces to 2.39 million troops, which will come into force on December 1.
