UK's GDP grows by 0.8% in Q112 May 2022 08:26
The United Kingdom's gross domestic product (GDP) noted a quarterly rise of 0.8% in the first trimester of the fiscal year 2022, the Office of National Statistics (ONS) said in its preliminary report released on Thursday.
On an annual level, the figure went up by 8.7%. In comparison to the period before the start of the COVID-19 at the beginning of 2020, the level of quarterly GDP was 0.7% higher.
Output in general saw an advance in this quarter, with services going up by 0.4%, production output by 1.2%, manufacturing by 1.3%, and construction by 3.8%.
