United Kingdom Chancellor of the Exchequer Jeremy Hunt (pictured) will deliver a statement about the Medium-Term Fiscal Plan, or the mini-budget, later in the day on Monday, the Treasury announced.
The newly-appointed government official will also speak before the House of Commons. The Treasury added that there were "further conversations between the Prime Minister [Liz Truss] and the Chancellor over the weekend, to ensure sustainable public finances underpin economic growth" and that Hunt also met with Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey and the Head of the Debt Management Office Robert Stheeman last night.
As planned, Hunt will reveal full details of the government's economic plan on October 31, "alongside a forecast from the independent Office for Budget Responsibility," the Treasury confirmed.
