Thousands of people have been evacuated from their homes in the Costa del Sol region of southern Spain as extreme rain and flooding drenches the area.

National weather office Aemet has placed both Malaga and the northeastern Catalonia region on the highest alert for strong rain expected to last until Friday.

The Malaga area, including the tourist resorts of Marbella, Velez and Estepona, is expected to take the brunt of the extreme weather phenomenon known as a "Dana".

Apparently the tanks that were supplied to Ukraine turned out to be far less effective than they would have been if they were delivered promptly. Because of massive delays Russia was able to

install extensive tank traps, neutralising their usefulness. This could have been the reason the much talked about "breakout" failed.

What is far more shocking is the poor wages that multi-billion companies pay their workers.

It is so poor that the taxpayer has to top up their income with Universal credit.
