Gordon Stein, CFO of CleanTech Lithium, explains why CTL acquired the 23 Laguna Verde licenses. Watch the video here.
RK, you are right - it's not rocket science, and your calculations have a significant error in them:
Of the $35m that's left at the end of June, $44m is ring-fenced (in your own words) for Alpala. That leaves -$9m for exploration!
I am of the view that there has to be strong value at 20p (to borrow a phrase from the GGP'ers, cause they are a canny lot over there: the gold and copper hasn't gone anywhere has it!). BHP and NCM were happy to cough up at 45p several years ago and the resource has only got better since.
RK, you're starting to look like a contrarian indicator (time to buy when you sell etc, much like DarrenDuffer).
As for transparency...you sold 1/4 or less at the top (42p) and then you were buying back in the high 30s. So, I fail to see how you've done particularly well. Yesterday you tried to intimate that you had sold the lot at 43p - no chance - since you like to gloat about it, it's all there in your history.
You don't half get some delusion on here!
Quady "I just see it as news". Come on - every piece of signficant news related to a company is either good or bad for the prospects of that company.
Max - you are having a laugh right? The volume on Friday was enormous, only surpassed in the last 5 years by the 2020 placing and prior to that the 2016 takeoff.
There ain't no sugar coating those results. They are a shocker and it is only because the gold price is sky high that they netted about $5m profit this quarter.
The share price is now HYPER sensitive to the gold price. If the gold price starts falling from here, which I suspect it will (from a charting perspective only), then HUM is going to be in trouble, as negative sentiment will bash it further.
That said, it has been confirmed that they have net cash of $1m and change now and it looks highly likely that Q2 will see the back of their debt too, which is a decent position to be in.
Not an investor here currently, at these prices, as the HUM/Betts discount to fair value may yet see further falls in the price!
Zoros, you're a real two-faced peice of work (which anyone with half a brain and an attention span longer than 2 minutes has seen). Have you taken your meds today yet? Where exactly did I "threaten to kill everybody at LSE"? That's hilarious. I have come to terms with the fact that the site is run by a Corrupt Fat Controller and his minions. That's their Karma.
"Serious thrashing on GGP" Lol; the combo of a thick angry mob and a Fat Controller cannot be beaten it's true. But what I was saying was oh so true. Scallywag has turned out to be the pile of dog turd that I suspected and GGP has a LOT further to fall. It's only stubborn bulls and traders that are keeping gravity at bay now.
The arrogance of it, telling me to "behave"! Karma is coming for you Zoros, one way or another.
It's as I said several months ago - Cacharposa is not looking up to scratch, so far...Hole 4 is a bit of a disaster as that was the one that had the potential to greatly increase the size of the ore body. The Extension on hole 1 has also proved futile - they only bothered to go an additional couple of hundred metres. We've finally had confirmation of what most of us suspected - La Hueca turned up nothing so far. Wasn't Rio due to spud in December - been pushed back yet again.
So far SOLG have not hit the jackpot in the regionals. They may yet at Porvenir, but it needs to hit a super hole to prove it.
SOLG have Alpala, which is proven, and that is what underpins the value here. As yet, the drill bit has not proved significant additional value in the regionals.
Given the election uncertainty and the upcoming funding requirements (yes we heard mid to late 2021 for the regionals - how much salt do we need to take with that and does April count as mid?! Plus, there was no mention that they are fully funded to complete the DFS. Are they? They didn't take up the extra $50m from FN, presumably because NM was already on his way out and the new board want a good relationship with BHP. But where does that leave funds for the DFS?
operational update. The second part of that message is what will be interesting. The first part is already more or less known as per the Dec update. It is the current operational update and guidance that is what is important now. Thanks to a high gold price, even Quarters with low production have been nicely profitable. What we want to see now is the ship steadied.
The gold price is still at a very healthy 1850 and importantly, it remains within the main bullish trendline from the past couple of years. Sky high AISCS of 1300 still yield $550/oz profit which is fantastic. HUM must be close to debt free by now and accumulating a healthy cash pile. 2021 could be (should be) the year in which it pays a modest maiden dividend, which ought to get more institutions interested.
And ref your point about GGP Iceberg - absolutely correct; they are Debt carried ($50m) to BFS, at which point NCM will have them over a barrel when it comes time to arranging CAPEX financing and use of the Telfer processing plant.
Iceberg, I am on the same wavelength. This boom is like the 2010 and 2016/17 booms on steroids. Every boom ends with a bust when the music stops (from a mining perspective, 2010 yielded to a slow roll over and then into a serious decline that ended at the end of 2015. The 2016/17 boom dried up in late 2017 and again saw a roll over and substantial decline in the subsequent couple of years).
Joe normal is making money hand over fist in this market playing the momentum game, and the music will stop - it always does. And that is when most of your Average Joes will hand it all back and sometimes more. Making money in the markets is not easy and those that think that it is have not paid their dues yet. But the market always demands payment...
NM has hinted at it on several occasions over the years that SOLG could do a Fortescue. NM certainly has the dogged determination that's required, and I suspect that the more that he feels cornered, the more that his determination will be reinforced. NM is not the type who will back down. He's already a multi-millionaire and will be regardless of what happens to SOLG in the end.
