Loaded question on a GGP shareholder board don’t you think

Been listening to some podcasts and reading some articles suggesting Trump wants to lower the Fed interest rates to help lower the interest bill on their debt, plus, try and refinance the debt at a lower interest rate with a longer term as well.

Gold will go higher and so will GGP.

Unsure the market can rely on this chat board to price GGP's share price. What we think does not matter really, it is what the market thinks that matters. We all remain hopeful that the Q1 results will blow the doors off. The Q1 figures will give the market something to work from, plus, if any forward guidance is provided the market will like that if the guidance is very good.

How many recessions have seen inflation?

A recession will likely lead to interest rate cuts and help the gold price as well.

Bed and ISA completed yesterday for me. Lost a couple of shares but got it done in the mid 10s on the bright side.

Worth noting the link shows that Agnico Eagle has overtaken Newmont as the largest gold company, albeit by small margin. Both companies valued at AUD$84billion.

It is common as gold companies are equities and so are at the whims of the markets. If owners need cash they will sell whatever they hold. Typically gold companies bounce back though quicker than other sectors.
