Monkey if you believe in GGPs prospects and that the SP will eventually rebound, then this is an opportunity to average down. Each to their own of course.

Yep the SP slides and they come back out. Countless companies are down. I’ve citied examples of large companies with revenue that are down. We have no revenue. We are awaiting the commencement of our journey. But hey let’s blame Shaun for everything. All his fault. Snooze. So boring reading it over and over. Gervaise left GGP in the 💩 as he had one strategy, NCM buy GGP out. Instead NCM nearly killed GGP off, if it were not for Shaun and the new team to fight back. Gervaise left like a bandit with significant millions in his pocket. Yet people worship him. He didn’t discover Hav, the geologists did, Callum should be thanked. Gervaise was just the media face but his true colour were revealed by his lying to shareholders. But let’s keep blaming Shaun right. FFS.

So use your knowledge to your benefit and trade what you see

Barrick was close to $30 in 2020 and hit $13 last year, it’s $16 now. So another massive gold company down. Despite all that revenue. It’s a sign of sector sentiment. When the money decides to buy back into this sector again the majors will rise and given GGP will soon be a producer, so GGP will rise. It’s a sign of the cyclical nature of the markets and the sector.

Also Newmont hit $84 in 2020 and is now $42. Largest gold company in the world and it’s down 50%.

Look at Neecrest’s share price as one comparison. It hit almost $40 in 2020 and then fell to $15 last year, which is why Newmont wanted them, opportunistic. A 62% fall from the high to the low of one of the largest gold companies in the world. So even to the top end of town in this sector can experience large share price falls.

GGP is still early on its business journey, with first ever revenue predicted for next year. With so much to come in due course I would think that the SP has to rise from here and this is closer to the bottom than the top. In other words this is the time you would buy into GGP rather than sell.

Agree, lots of companies whose SP flew in 2020 are down 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 %. This isn’t down to fundamentals. Profit taking, money moving to other sectors, all sorts of reasons for the falls. At least GGP is not dogecoin or something silly, it’s a company with excellent future prospects

Personally I think that GGP having connections as it does is a big plus. Who knows what’ll happen but it’s far better than the alternative.

Sentiment and money always rule in the short term. Always. A share can 10x based on zero fundamentals, like crypto for example. Hype and money can move mountains in the share sense. But over time the fundamentals win out and if that 10x move was based on nothing the SP will thump to earth. IMO for GGP we are early to the party and waiting for the guests to arrive… ie. Waiting for the money to buy in. If you listen to Rick Rule and his very experienced stories on this sector he has seen companies fall 50% before going gang busters. You need to step fretting and start researching.

How can you invest knowing the future? You take an investment thesis and view on a company, invest, plant your seed, wait for it to grow. GGPs journey is still in the first innings of a baseball game. Give it time to grow and work its magic.
