I am not the best at reading results but these seem very good . With the quality and company being more aware of the need to try and keep prices competative in the food sector lets hope the upwards path continues .
I hold some shares and if the sale does go ahead for a nice sum and if there is a good dividend does anybody know if there is a deadline share purchase date before an RNS is released upon which a dividend would be paid on the shares . Sorry not sure if I am explaining what I am asking very well .
If parliament , MPs and wealthy individuals etc had not spend best part of four years throwing every single spanner into the works then this nonsense may well have been out of the way by now. The media throughout have made leave voters appear stupid when in reality most are far from stupid , infact I do not know anybody who voted remain and the people I know who voted leave are accountants , post office counter staff , business people , professional people , people who work for themselves. The EU as a trading block was/is a good idea but everything else is not good . Now as investers in shares we all know that it does not take much for prices to go down but also sooner or later prices will rise again . Two weeks ago I took a good profit from Lloyds and last week I took a smaller one so I am happy to hold onto the shares I own .
In the long term Brexit will proberly work out well for the UK but in the short term it may be a bit sticky mainly because the of the amount of time we have been in the EU and the practices that will need to be implimented but one thing is for sure and that is business will always want to carry on . It is also proberly more in the EU interest to get a deal/agreement considering the UK is very large importer of goods made within the EU , with European bisinesses not happy with the stance people like Macron and some other EU politicians are taking .Cars are proberly the most noticable and something like 1 in 7 German cars made is sold in the UK. The UK is actually fairly hardy , dueing the 2008 financial melt down the EU thought the UK would crash and burn because it was small and not in the Euro but infact it was the Euro Zone that crashed and burned far worse than the UK. If there is no agreement then shares may go down but once things settle they will go back up.
With the country coming out of lockdown M&S will again open up it's clothing departments and cafes , hopefully a resaonable Chirstmas trading period will be had . I know there are several factors at the moment and a good Christmas trading period is just one factor but it will help .
Have just tried a trade on Halifax and it will let me trade if I want to but my valuation page is still registering Monday evenings closing price.
Could someone explain what are all these small trades i.e. 6 shares 10 shares .
wolvesposty you are correct there are plenty of choices for parcel delivery and often at better value especially once the parcel is larger than a small parcel . Although RM gained some extra business from me since Hermes put the price of their up to 1kilo signed for up to £4.52 . Although RM is soon going to put their overseas prices up and the parcel rate to the US has already skyrocketed although I am not sure if that is due to covid or the US pulling out of the pricing agreement ? . I can see alot of companies including RM useing Covid as an excuse to really hike prices . I have held RM shares from day one and added over the years and I enjoyed the good dividends as they helped make up for the low share price but now I am just waiting for a bit more of a rise then happy to take a loss .
Could somebody explain why there seems to be quite a number of tiny trades i.e. 50 shares , 100 shares etc
I would like to thank the team , I know nothing about mining and I know the AIM can be iffy but Ariana just took my eye and in 2013 I brought what woud be considered at small amount of shares at just under 1.40p . I forgot about them for about four and a half years and since then have increased the number quite a bit.
