It does start to look ( mainly from on here), as if most of the selling to fund rights issue have passed.

Suspect today might have been mainly due to those who timed the bottom taking some profit.

I do feel a bit more positive about NG now, not excepting the hair cut we took from the highs.

Will be nice to get it all over the line and understand how it works out

Kind of glad now I sold half my GSK couple of weeks ago to fund my NG rights issue.

It’s funny how it works out ( sometimes)

Alive and Kicking

If it makes you feel better, before I was aware of the news this morning,I tried to sell electronically ( in nominee account),

It gave me an indication of £20, but could not sell, tried again seconds later, this time £16 but again it could not sell.

I then went looking for why it had dropped,and promptly decided I was not selling

We’ll just a couple of minutes till opening bell.

To find out if we are having a good day or a GOOD Day,

Or if Spights and me have egg on our face.

I’m hoping we hit £9 before Thursday, and that the bottom has already passed,but it’s still very possible there is another wave of selling to fund take up of rights issue by those who have still to make their mind up.

I’m going with most have already committed one way or other, but no one really knows ( especially me)

BP had a very positive day in US on Friday.

Rising up to the close.

Oil was down on Friday,but just possibly profit taking in case OPEC did something silly over the weekend

So I’m guess up 4-5p tomorrow,maybe even a bit more.

But it really is a guess at the end of the day.

The biggest difference between Bt and NG is the regulator.

Ofcoms job is to try and stop Bt becoming a monopoly.

Ofgens job is to keep the light on.

The only carrot they have to make NG invest for the future is the price to be charged.

It’s a totally different negotiation from the one Bt does.

No one wants to be the person in charge when the lights go out.

It does look By 2030, it might be good to be producing electric and gas.

Luckily that’s 2 of the things we already do.

If Hydrogen does come along in a way that can make money,along with Carbon capture we might actually have the full set ( not the fool set as some think).

Maybe some day soon it really will be jam tomorrow, and not just a saying.

I though the Letter One non voting shares was a way to not fall foul to sanction,as they would have no direct say in running company.

I remembered it as BASF getting directors,but Letter One not getting any to ensure complied with sanctions.

So we might just be ok after all.

And maybe why NG is planning ahead

Haleon managed to get rid of GSK as a major shareholder,without too much trouble.

It did put a ceiling on how high sp would go, but every time they sold ( by a secondary placement) I think they could not sell anymore for 60 days.

So very ordered.

Haleon did even buy some back ( under 1£ billion) to cancel,which could be a possibility as HBR debt is low

Last year, 27 million Indian tourists travelled internationally and that’s predicted to soar to 70 million by 2030. Indian airlines have placed orders for almost a thousand new aircraft in anticipation of a big rise in demand.

That’s a lot of extra oil demand and that just from one ( large ) country

I just believe BP still thinks it’s British.

Shell has been Royal Dutch Shell, so is more cosmopolitan ,and not rooted to the past.

Yet they are both companies with probably a similar mix of people from similar mix of countries,so never say never.

It’s a really complicated situation,I would assume that if you don’t get the rights,surely you would be entitled to the equivalent of the price of someone selling the rights for you, otherwise no one will hold ADRs of British companies (not even Americans ).

It’s another thing NG maybe should have covered better

Think the devil will really be in the details of how it affects the big 2 Shell,and BP.

Any even now we still await the finer points on it

I also think Shell much more likely to move than BP, ( think the B in BP still means something).

But that’s only my opinion
